I like the chaotic realism in this game. Maybe soon I'll actually spot a blast and can go find out what it actually was.

What's the shit on the roof? Generators? I haven't really spent much time at all building stuff.

Is that overkill or is that really nessecary to power all the stuff in this town?
Either way that's a pretty amazing set up, I might start messing with it more now. Just dunno if I should go ahead and build some kind of power platform right off the bat.

Total and complete overkill. I do have a ton of shit in the town though. But it's probably only using 40% of the power But I'm maxed on power. 999 is the most apparently. There will probably be a mod for that.

I need to find a place I really wanna build up. Not too fond of Sanctuary really. I seen a couple of other settlements, can't remember what or where, that looked more enticing to build on. I think one was kind of a cliff side/hilly area with lots of different elevations to build on.
I hope we can get a mod to remove housing foundations, I'd like a nice really wide open area of grass/ground to build a reputable looking farm on.

it'd be cool, in Fallout Online, to build in a persistent large scale server, two clans, in a settlement war, to steal eachother's weed operation...the more you can grow, the more you can build and supply yourself with armor and weapons and other inventory.

Ugh so many little things bother me about this game aside from all the bugs.
Why add Radiation a new type of weapon & only make 1 gun for it. REALLY?! That is so lazy.
I also recently came across a Super Sledge was so keen to finally find one hoping it would be some massive fuck off mace like in the others. But no it looks like some modded version of the sledgehammer... Why not make that a mod for the sledgehammer so it has more options & make a entirely new looking weapon with mods rather then making something that does just look like a modded sledgehammer.
Iunno this game is just appearing to be very empty to me now the more I play it. The foundation of the game is AWESOME but the game it self is very lackluster so many new features & ideas but none of them hardly fleshed out into something bigger.
& they took away the awesome ideas Obsidian brought in like Ammo Benches where you can breakdown & make new ammo.
Its actually sickening that people let the DEVS get away with this, expecting the modders to fill the game out.
Like I remember seeing the reveal for Fallout 4 & them saying you can choose your kids name, they programmed 10000 names or some shit. Pretty sure they cut that because I couldn't name my fucking kid but they'll spend time doing that rather then making a better UI for PC or weapons visible when holstered instead of just appearing out of thin air? WHY!?
The fact this game got a 9.5/10 when it clearly is just 7/10 is fucking retarded. http://au.ign.com/articles/2015/11/09/fallout-4-review?page=2
I want to know how much they paid IGN for this review, because to me it looks like they spent 1/3 of the budget on that rather then making a solid game that would received an actual 9.5/10 review.
Also found this comparison picture to Fallout 4 to The Witcher 3 which i had a laugh at.

To me this game is a perfect example of how casual gaming has ruined great gaming franchises.
I could go on about the little things that annoy me about this game but I cant be fucked making this into a huge was wall of text that its starting to become.

Game is fine. Game of year, easily. I have no idea what you are bitching about TBH. Easy 9/10 It was also JUST released. Bethesda always adds more content later Not to mention what mods will do.

There are a lot of little things that bother me too, but I don't really see them as significantly knocking the game down. I actually find the quests in this one far more compelling than 3 or NV. I'm actually interested in what is going on, and am actually getting emotionally drawn into it. Like my first encounter with a synth was finding two "twins" one with a gun pointed at the other and was just "meh I don't give a shit whether he lives or dies" but after I started getting involved in that whole story line, now I'm ready to take the institute down and have kind of developed a real hatred for them.
Yeah it's kinda bullshit that they've introduced whole new crafting systems but removed ammo tables, but I figure eventually some mod will take care of that. After long enough it ceased to be a problem for me anyways. My experience was get out of the vault, get loaded on 10mm ammo, start running out and have to move to shotguns, .308 and .38 for a couple of levels, and then I started getting overloaded with .45 and the combat rifle is a damn beast. I also have tons of 10mm again, though I really don't give much of a shit about at this point. That combat rifle is my favorite gun currently and I find tons of ammo for it. So yeah it's inconvenient at times, but in the long run, it seems it doesn't matter much IMO. I'd still like to be able to convert ammo I don't use into something I would, but since I'm not really struggling anymore, it doesn't matter much.
Melee weapons I can't speak much on. I never use melee weapons in Fallout, I have no idea what they did in the past or how lackluster they are now. Unless they're worth a good chunk of caps, I won't even pick them up. The weapons not holstering as I mentioned before is not an issue for me. I could understand why it would be an issue for someone who actually sees it, but it doesn't bother me because I won't see it anyways. I spend 99.9% of my time in first person and as far as I know, they are holstering them. In Witcher there was something kind of satisfying about watching him draw his sword or sheath it, so I kinda get it.
As for the graphics, IMO Bethesda has never been known for it's overly realistic graphics, especially when it comes to faces. Don't get me wrong, they can make some very impressive beautiful scenery, but they always seem to fall a bit short on faces and the little things. I knew from day 1 of the announcement we weren't going to see faces and the like that compared to Witcher 3. I fully expected exactly what we got.
As of now, my only current relevant gripe is the dialog system. The choices are all so damn ambigious, other than the obvious "Hello" or "Goodbye" type of shit, I really have no idea what my character is going to say when just reading the text for that prompt. I'd definitely like the old, much more descriptive system back so I can better judge my responses. For instance one that just happened was a conversation with Deacon, he told me about how people are jealous of me because all my family is long dead and I can't put them in danger by working for the railroad, and one of the prompts was "my son" and I expected a more generalized "Well I do have my son out there somewhere, I hope" type of response, instead my character turned in a she bitch and got very angry. Something like "So me losing my son was a good thing?!" What the fuck.
I like to react to certain people with certain tones and sometimes that is very hard to judge when I've been given just a two word descriptor on the response I'm going to give.
EDIT: I also look forward to a mod that reinstates gun wear. I really liked that aspect. It gave me something to do with the countless weapons I'd pick up rather than cart them around until I dump them back off to scrap or sell later. I have this weird thing about me that won't let me just leave shit like that so I have to take it. It cut down on inventory space by using them to fix my primary gun and combining a bunch of severely worn ones to be more valuable for later resell.

Witcher 3 looked fantastic, but ultimately bored me to play for prolonged periods. By the end of November, will have more hours clocked on Fallout than I have clocked on Witcher 3 since it was released.
A graphic comparison is not all that great though. To my comprehension, CDProjektRed Crafted each character and cutscene to look it's best -- Bethesda, instead, went the route of diversity by means of a character creation tool (which they used for all the NPCs in game) and having conversations take place anywhere in any light.
Personally prefer flexibility and freedom. Geralt is cool and all, and Witcher 3 is super cinematic, but being stuck playing as him on each build I tried really killed it for me.
Fallout 4 feels like GOTY for me. Think that might upset quite a number of Witcher 3 fans though, because Witcher was almost guaranteed GOTY, then Bethesda sprang a totally unexpected launch that stands to steal the thunder.

I liked Witcher 3. Took me awhile to really get into and devote any real time towards. I played for a couple hours a day max for a couple of weeks and lost interest. I actually didn't really start playing it again until FO4's release announcement. I hadn't been playing games much for the year or two prior and felt I needed to dust off my gaming skills and devoted a lot of time into Witcher and ended up really liking it and getting into it. Was a pretty good game. I'd still give FO4 GOTY. Battles and such in Witcher just really weren't dynamic at all. You could get all fancy if you wanted to, but there was no need really. Button mashing did the job just fine except on the hardest of the enemies. There really wasn't much AI strategizing or anything. Groups of enemies almost had hard coded attack patterns, when you're surrounded by 4 enemies all you have to do is hit one, hit another, hit another, hit another and repeat until all are dead. If you're feeling bold, you could work a 2-3 hit combo on one and jump back into the usual rotation. It was really just all about the story, because the actual game play was just monotonous.
I would love to see someone implement Gwent style card game into FO though. Short of Tetra Master on FFXI, Gwent was probably the greatest card side game I've ever seen in a game. There are a lot of games that include some mini game, but most I find have no strategy or are too complicated to really get interested in.

Witcher 3 was good, and it certainly wasn't the case that I actively disliked it.
Mostly just went into it with the wrong expectations. People hyped it up as though it was going to come out as a great role-play experience that would rival Skyrim.
Instead, I got what felt more like Legend of Zelda rated M. Not a bad thing, just really not to my expectations. Was not following the Witcher series prior to 3, so much of my obliviousness was my own fault.
I played two builds; one focused almost exclusively on sword bonuses, then another focused almost entirely on use of Signs. Combat ultimately felt largely the same between the two builds, because the game didn't actually let me choose between playing a Fencer and playing a Mage, I was just Geralt the Witcher either way.
My second Fallout 4 character is not even 10 hours deep and she already feels like playing a different game.
If I had not been expecting Witcher 3 to be a 'replacement' for Skyrim, would not have been so troubled to find that it did not hold a candle to my time with Skyrim.
Again though, great game, but not the type of thing I would really compare to something as open-ended and do-anything as something like Fallout or Skyrim. If I had played Witcher 3 expecting a cinematic story-driven game rather than an open-ended player-driven game, I would likely have not felt as put off by the experience.
Or, maybe, I just have lingering wishes that I could have played the whole game as Ciri, even though it wouldn't make any story sense.
Can second a love for Gwent though.
