That's a fair point. Should also benefit from spamming Chems. A good mix of Psycho and Med-X for the damage resistance and Jet to close the gap/dodge bullets.
1-Int all the way through it is.

My first character was high Intelligence, so I figured this would be a good contrast. Unfortunately, previous Fallout titles provided unique dialogues when playing a low-Intelligence character, but they seem to be absent here. It was mostly for flavour more than anything though, so I can still role-play it myself.
So that is pretty much the aim yeah. My character may not know much, but she knows if she hits things hard enough they fall down.
that's sad they abandoned the dialogue, i mean, i remember Fallout 3 was hilarious with it's trees for intelligent and charisma...since they fleshed out the script and characters this time around i guess they had to 'streamline'.
oh well, nothing's perfect. still, that's funny as hell though, cavechick saves the world.

That pissed me off the most. I was really hoping for unique dialog for having a complete idiot of a character, and so far haven't noticed anything at all. I guess i wasn't sure as i haven't seen a high int character dialogue side by side but i guess you confirmed if for me.
But the laughs and drum rolls from idiot savant make it way worth it. I just wish there were a full live studio audience style laugh track too.
Mystery man is way better in this game. I go hoirs without any encounters then he'll appear like 2-3 times in a row then fuck off till i forget or right when i need him the most.
The best moment so far was i was down to 10 hp fighting the mirelurk queen in the castle woth no ammo, it had about 15% health left then put of nowhere mysterious stranger appears and blasts it away for me.

That link was blocked for me, can you elaborate a little more on the weed mod?

Sorry, I forgot you had to be logged into the nexus to view it. Anyway, you can plant, grow and smoke weed. Its got a pipe, bong, joint and blunt animation. Blunt wraps, papers, different strains of weed, etc. with the visual effect of making everything slightly glow. The weed grows in stages, from seedling to flowering to producing buds. Really awesome mod. Sucks it wont be in fallout 4 unless someone can figure out how to convert the files from skyrim to fo4.

Hopefully he will come back, or someone will adapt it.

Robots never forgive and never forget.
There was another settlement that, when I cleared the area for the Minutement, there was a Mr. Handy called Professor Goodfeels floating around saying things like "Far out!" "Groovy man" So I checked the Terminal in the barn, and it basically said a hippie commune bent on saving the robots stole him and reprogrammed him with a "Just Be" protocol.
Liked him so much, decided I wanted to set up my home there.
Came back with supplies to build, and it turns out that he vanishes when the farm comes under Minutemen control.

It'd be cool if you could hack the different robots personalities and upload them into codsworth.

The mod creator replied to my comment, he said
"Life goes on my friend, I'm pretty sure someone will make one for FO4.
I guess they use the pretty same scripting engine and gamebryo stuff so the models and scripts should be compatible. No easy task without a creation kit.
First I'd recommend checking the models against those in FO4, try to exchange similar "trees" against a weed plant (yeah, also a "tree" object) and see if it works. Look around for early modding tools to check what else you can do. Make a simple Skyrim mod and learn how to script, or even better, modify Cannabis Skyrim and learn how the mod works. Since I am a lazy one, I didn't use comments. My bad.
When (better, if) an updated tes5edit http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25859 has ever been released you could try to port the mod. You would need to clean unavailable skyrim objects, cells and so on from the esp also stuff which would break the FO lore. Almost every model was made especially for Skyrim...
If you have deeper questions, go ahead and drop me a pm.".

Does anyone else get random huge detonations when walking around? I dunno what the hell it is, it's never in an area where you can hear gun fire going on or anything.. Just be walking/standing around and suddenly there's a huge flash of light and a sound off in the distance that you would really only hear from a very large bomb. It's not quite opening scene nuke-ish but it's definitely much bigger than grenades or even a car exploding.

I walked by a shack with a moonshine still that exploded. It was like a mini nuke went off

Seems like landmines are randomly placed around city areas. Maybe thats whats causing it?

Nah it's way too big to be a landmine. I haven't actually fired one in FO4 but my guess is it's on par with the blast from a mini nuke. It has a very sustained and deep bass rumble/roar and when you're looking away from the direction you can see the area light up, once I was facing in the general direction and my screen mostly went white. Was in the middle of something so I didn't go try to inspect what happened plus I thought it was a glitch or something, that was the first time it happened. It's happened several more times now though, although all behind or off to the side of me, so I really have no idea where it originated.

Do you remember any particular places it happened? i'd be happy to check the areas out
also * tiny minor spoilers* Could it be super mutants? ive run into several of them that were equipped with Fat Boys, and there are also "super mutant suiciders" who carry mini nukes under their right arm and run up to you. You can kill them easily by shooting their right arm though. it detonates the nuke

Your theory had crossed my mind because I've run into them (p.s. seriously fuck those guys.. I hate them worse than any other single enemy up to this point, they always catch me off guard and by the time I notice them, all I can do is run and pray I only almost die.) but there is never any gun fire or anything. Unless there's just a single one of them out wandering around and come across some enemy that doesn't use guns and is also alone, I kinda doubt it. You can hear gun fire from pretty far away, far enough away that if you could see the flash of light, you'd definitely be able to clearly hear the gun fire.
And no, I don't remember the areas, but even if I did I doubt it would help much. I've reloaded a few times because I had very recent quick saves and wanted to see if it'd happen again and I could see where it happened and go inspect the aftermath to determine exactly what it is. It has never happened twice in a row though. It seems to be extremely random.

Going to go with mines by cars by the way you describe it -- wandering ghouls seem to be able to trigger mines; if they set one off under a car, then the car detonates as well.
Mines are a particularly good candidate because, unlike enemies, they do not always respawn in the same locations/at all on a reload.
Have even had a mine blow up a car and kill me, only to have my reload be less than 10 feet away and no mine exists when I fire back up.

Yeah I can attest to the mine/car combo being nasty - their cars had nuclear parts in them didn't they? Hence when I see that sort of event happen it often produces a mushroom cloud sorta deal/huge explosion
