It really is I guess heavy video game consumption and pornography addiction go hand in hand.

Does anyone else have a lag problem with the opening credit (the gear thing)? Every single time I open the game that video lags like shit, I'm going to guess frame rate drops to somewhere below 10fps.. It is the only lag I get anywhere though, it's kind of odd.

Remember reading a comment someone at Bethesda made that they use those opening videos as a sort of loading screen, so while it is playing the whole game is also booting up.

Personally have it lag a bit the first time I boot up the game after starting the computer, but then any time I open it again between then and shutdown the lag issue never shows up.

That's the opposite of what I get. The time it's the fastest is on a restart. I had to restart earlier because I hadn't done it in awhile and the game completely froze up on that screen.

Found myself a new settlement location I liked (Jamaica Plains) so set up a settlement there as well.

Would like to be able to repair the street lamps so they function, rather than only being able to scrap them, but otherwise fond of it.

It is just too bad there is not yet an online mod so that I can invite you all over for a Nuka Cola and some Jet.

I noticed that ship the other day from a high vantage point (with a sniper rifle) but didn't feel like traveling all that way on foot to go check it out. Had no idea it had rockets and shit.

Where is the first one with the painting at?  Looks fittingly creepy that I would like to check it out.

Was exploring an interesting mine named Dunwich Borers.  It has some fun effects when exploring the lowest levels.

Encountered my first real bug, Scribe Haylen won't let me turn in my Quartermastery quest even though I have the item and it says to visit her.

THIS MOTHER FUCKER :crankey:

In the middle of a mission with Deacon and I stumble across a suit of power armor, so I open the cage to get it and the fucker jumps in it and will not get out of it. At not point at all is power armor mentioned in the quest line, I really don't think he's meant to jump in it before the quest can continue. :crankey:

Pickman's Gallery. It's not too far north of Goodneighbor. I ran into Dunwich Borers awhile ago but I booked it as soon as I noticed the name of the area. The Dunwich Building from FO3 unnerved the shit out of me and I figured Dunwich Borers would be similar.

I almost unspoilered that out of habit.

I've never been a fan of actually role playing or running multiple games at once. I just play til the end, if there was enough to warrant going back through and doing it differently, I will start a whole new character. That's kinda rare. To date I've only done it with Dragon Age, Skyrim and Fallout 3. I know I did Fallout and Skyrim less times than Dragon Age. Dragon age I went through 6 times back to back. I actually kind of have a feeling this Fallout is going to break that record.

I know I will be playing it one more time at least and will build a highly specialized character as far as stats go. I will also probably go with all the "bad choices" and will ally myself with the factions I didn't this time around.

Normally I would cover a lot more ground on my first character before rerolling, but I was a bit dumb in making my decision -- I don't regret it at all and the Minutemen ending was fun, it just had a consequence I didn't think of ahead of time which will make continued play a bit less appealing to me at the moment.

So, this time through I will be making a different alliance choice.

Playing as a 1 Intelligence Idiot Savant this time.  That's 9 levels of stat leveling that I won't have to do, but my Power Armor will be more costly to run.

Went mainly Luck and Endurance, with enough Charisma to get me through checks while wearing an appropriate set.

Going to spec for Party Girl and Iron Fist and play melee as a drunken boxer.
:pantytail:

thats basically what i did, just be aware melee and unarmed are 2 different things, easy to overlook that when looking at all the skill tree's.

so far idiot savant is pretty op, i have about half the hours in this run, and im already the same level as before.  i basically maxed strength and luck with just enough char to get the damage res skill/carry weight.  then ill start dumping points in endurance and agility.

not sure if i should go for vats/action points with crits, or just go max resists/hp and basically just ignore vats

i really wanted to do power armor but that shit runs out of energy so dam quick, but supposedly it still works when the power runs out it just has some negatives to it i havn't actually ran it out yet to test it but seen the popup about it

which means if u want to run it without energy it forces you to have companions basically to hold your fusion cells otherwise it will auto inject them, or u can leave them at base but thats annoying

Thank you for the reminder, but I do know about melee weapons and unarmed being different skills.
My reason for focusing on unarmed is because Iron Fist at rank 5 paralyzes on criticals in VATS, so the high Luck helps build it up to keep popping off the bonus.
Party Girl at rank 3 also makes alcohol give +3 Luck; but I will have to experiment first to see if Luck above 10 increases critical rate further or not before committing to that perk.

Have not figured out what to do about turrets yet; could use explosives as that has been working for me so far, but think it might fall short against ceiling-mounted units.

Started with more Endurance than Strength as I figured no matter how hard I hit, people are going to get a lot of free shots on me from range while I close the gap, so I want to be able to take hits.

Have not decided which companion I will be running this time; Nick seems tempting so I can have him unlock things for me, but Strong the Super Mutant seems like the one my character would be able to most relate to.

May end up going to 2 Intelligence just for the Medic perk as I am likely to spam a lot more healing on this character, but will see how far cooking food can carry me first.

So far, my favourite part about the Savant perk is my character constantly making the derpy laughs whenever the bonus pops.
It makes me feel a bit better about not getting to grunt and babble my way through speech as a low-Int.

just get the ghoul perk, eat bodys, and u will have plenty of food and stim packs to fill the gap, putting any points in int with idiot savant would be bad.  the end skill line is just filled with ways to regen hp

My first character was high Intelligence, so I figured this would be a good contrast.
Unfortunately, previous Fallout titles provided unique dialogues when playing a low-Intelligence character, but they seem to be absent here.
It was mostly for flavour more than anything though, so I can still role-play it myself.

So that is pretty much the aim yeah.
My character may not know much, but she knows if she hits things hard enough they fall down.
