Here's one for the kids.

I thought you just changed the name until I noticed the description. I love Fallout humor. I was gonna post some but couldn't figure out how to get screenshots to work. Was on a computer in some business. There was a company wide email to say that some chick had been fired and on the bright side, they bought a espresso machine but had no where to put it so it would be on her desk. The next email was to say that they had the wrong mounting hardware and they were calling in a contractor to knock out a few walls to make room for it but it would have to remain there for the time being, no matter how concerned the employees were over the noises it made.

I edited this into my last post but it got paged so I'll put it in this one. Question, do I have to keep these comics and bobbleheads on me or "in my possession" to keep the bonus? Or is it once you find it, it's applied permanently and you can just sell it?

Nope. Totally legit weapon I just pulled off a legendary enemy a few minutes ago. I just had to stop and screenshot it for :lol:s...and I'm actually unsure. I keep them in my inventory since they don't weigh anything.

I don't really have a problem with keeping them, because I'm pretty early in, but they're going to start building overtime and add to the difficulty of navigating my inventory. If I can just get rid of them, I would.

How'd you take a screenshot? I tried. It didn't work.

Someone asked awhile back if anyone had found any other radio frequencies and I just did, some military frequency. A little ways north of Oberland Station.

f10, then when you exit out of the game in steam a box filled with the screenshots you took in that session should pop up asking if you want to upload them.

I just hit my first difficult choice... Two identical looking people, one apparently one of these synths I've heard about. Who do I kill  not even just "how do I know who is human?" but which one deserves to live more.. I hate shit like this.

I haven't gotten too far into building yet. I just did the first quest in sanctuary where I have to build the shit for them. I took the next hour or so to scrap everything in town that could be so I was starting with a "clean slate". I haven't had too much issue with placement yet. It did seem kind of clunky but found some ways to make it more refined. You can manipulate both the object directly while standing still and and you can do it with slight movement like side stepping or whatever for the right angle. Once I started getting that down, it got pretty easy to do, but I haven't built anything truly complex yet so I may still find trouble when I do. So far I've just sealed up all the walls and ceiling in my old house and threw 5 beds in it for the people, put down some basic defense things, a water pump and purification plant, generator and some food crops. Sealing up all the holes was where I learned how to refine it better since it was proving difficult to do just standing there.

I just wish there was an easier to way to scrap large areas quickly. Running through a whole neighborhood doing it piece by piece is very time consuming. I got a lot of goddamn screws out of it though, so to me it was worth it. I've maxed out all my guns the best I'm going to be able to until I get more perks.

Also, for those wondering, you don't have to loot the neighborhood first. Anything in the items you scrap go to the workshop storage, including stuff in safes and what not. So if you wanna save some time, when you find a new settlement area, just run through scrapping everything and then you can pick up all the loot in the town's workshop storage.

I'm confused, how did you patch up the walls and stuff?  Do you mean you just put up like 'junk wall' on the outside of the house around it or  you did it on the inside?  Or you just put up furniture over where the holes and such are?  Or did you actually find a proper way to 'repair' the walls because I didnt see anything like that at all in the menu's.

I basically just put up sheet metal walls over the busted windows and holes in the existing walls that sit more or less flush against the existing walls. I did not integrate the walls into the existing ones, they're either on the outside or inside (I made it a rush job) but there's really no gap at all between the two surfaces. The ceiling might not be as well done since that was a bit more difficult but if you position the cursor just right while working on the ceiling and not moving, it kind of just "fills itself in". I think it was intended to work better than it does, you have to get the cursor exactly right, even a hair off and it doesn't "prompt" you to do it (prompt in quotations because there is no real prompt, it's more like a "suggested spot" I built the entire roof in the living room/kitchen area without moving a single step.

I'm not sure how anal the game was going to get over "sheltered beds" so I decided to just not waste time trying to find the bare minimum and closed everything up minus the doors. There is no furniture minus the 5 beds needed to complete the quest. It's just a mostly weather/element proof structure with 3 beds in the living room/kitchen area and one each in the two bedrooms.

They just seem to need to have a roof over them to count as sheltered.
My "barracks" with all my beds in it has a huge hole in the wall so I don't have to walk inside a building after I am done at my workbenches -- can just turn around, walk up to the side of the building and sleep.

People keep complaining about the graphics not being nice enough, but I wander around the wasteland and love taking it all in.

Meh, people always bitch about graphics, even when they are superb. I have a feeling even when games finally become entirely indistinguishable from real life, people are STILL going to bitch about them. These graphics are great, by far the best ones of any Fallout game and I find the general scenery to be better done than Witcher 3, which is far more demanding.

This is Crysis compared to real life, I remember a lot of bitching about the graphics and I would just sit there like

Generally speaking when someone bitches about the majority of a games graphics these days, I automatically assume they're like 13 or something. I remember playing Atari at a friend's house when it wasn't even really considered outdated and I had a NES after only a couple of years after the official wide scale launch. These kids these days do not know what crappy graphics are :canthelpbutlaugh:

Shit I forgot, there was a reason I came back to this thread and saw that and had to reply..

I found my first real "glitch". Pipboy and guns not coming up on the screen even though crosshairs (and some indication the pipboy is up but can't use it) come up. Putting it away and pulling it out again repeatedly does not fix this. The fix is simple enough, back out to third person and back into first. Keep it in mind if you run into the problem because I was about to get pissed off

I found a few glitches on the Xbox one version. The most annoying one for me is that the subtitles don't work. They get stuck after the first line of dialog, don't know if anyone else has that issue.

Other than that and the occasional character randomly falling over, the game has been running smooth as fuck.

Walked into this Ghoul camp-site place & saw this fella just hanging out.

Seeing lots of little things like this around mainly makes me laugh.
Spotted a skeleton bugging out in a super-mutant cage, heard it twitching all over the place before I walked up to it.

Found a dope ass modded Tire Iron that looks like an axe, been having fun slicing up people with that.

Edit: thought I would just add this to the post instead of making another one. Just pimped up my power armor to model B & got it painted in a hot rod theme.

Nice paint job.
I should give painting a go.

Really like the rain effects in the Power Armor in first person.  Does it do this in third person as well?  I didn't check.
The raindrops run down the glass and everything.

Never expected it to be that handy though.

Yeah you do see rain drops on the screen even in 3rd person, kinda dumb. They should of just made it 1st person.

I love just punching people to death in my power armor while in fist person view.

I just got the Brotherhood power armor myself. The Brotherhood ship is so fucking cool. So has anyone figured out how to repair power armor?

The ship is great with all the Vertibirds flying around. :awesomenod:

For repairs, 'park' your power armor by the rack, hop out, craft, highlight the damaged piece and at the bottom it will tell you the key to hit for repair.

holy crap is it just me or does the main story ramp up in difficulty really quick?
im level 11 and i backed out of fort hagen to get my power armor and ive only got 3 cores.

finally figured out how to do supply routes between settlements:
go into workshop mode highlight a settler and hit the RB on 360 or Q key on pc.

holly crap there's some serious crashes with this game, everytime it crashes i have to restart my entire computer and it bugs my sound so i have some echo the dolphin shit going on.  its crashed 3 times on me and i havn't even made it out of the vault yet.

gunna update my drivers, hope that fixes it, also just disabled 'gamepads' in the .ini because the last crash happened when i opened a toolbox and i couldn't move the mouse curser to click on things

also kind of annoying that there's no vsync option, and there is alot of tearing going on too

I wound up wrecking pretty much everything in Fort Hagen without too much effort. Honestly I spent longer combing the place for scrap then I did fighting. I used my combat shotgun almost exclusively until the very end when you meet Kellogg. I actually just found 6 fusion cores in the span of about 15 minutes (I've only found like 4-5 total, including the one you get on the roof with the original set of power armor, before this), one in a footlocker in Vault 95, and another in the BoS ship.
