That preview looks awesome but doesn't have a date. Is this a few years away still?

Every time I anticipate a Bethesda project it gets pushed back until I'm sick of wanting to play it.

but you'll use a controller anyway due to ease of use the only game's I don't regret buying for console are the exclusive's and multiplayer games that I play in the same room with someone
I said console wars, not gaming platform battle. There is only two, and nintendo can just hang out in its own little corner.

Skyrim was fucking amazing. A big part of what made it so amazing, was the massive amounts of mods. You could extend it or modify it or turn it into almost a whole new game Long after you got bored with the game.. there was literally hundreds of hours of content worth in mods, not to mention with graphics enhancing mods and so on it became a whole different game.
I'll agree it was no Morrowind, but Skyrim ruled.

Yo Shrromism, are you hip to all the Elder Scrolls lore? I'm wondering if they did the same to Skyrim that they did to F3. I've never been as impressed with a game series' lore as I have been with Fallout. I'm just really hoping they don't fuck it up anymore than they have. At least they're sticking to east coast.

makes sense, as I only ever played the core game.
I even have a nice gaming computer, but I stupidly bought it for xbox in my excitement.

Suspect they will give an approximate date when they discuss it at E3 this year. June 14th for more news on whatever projects they are working on this year. The website already has a click-through with a pre-order button but when I checked it out for Canada the only distributor they listed did not show a pre-order up for sale yet.

Elder Scrolls lore is a little strange at times. A bunch of lore-related stuff changed from Daggerfall-->Morrowind, and then there were further issues by the time Oblivion dropped. Skyrim did not, to my knowledge, really butcher anything too badly but Bethesda has always left themselves a lot of outs in the series -- Daggerfall has something like 7 or 8 different contrasting endings to the main story, and to keep players connected with their character choices Bethesda decided to use a concept known as the Dragon Break to proclaim that all the various alternate realities splintered and happened all at once.
Elder Scrolls Online gets more flack for breaking established lore -- Elder Scrolls Online is also handled by another company though (Zenimax Online Studios), so perhaps it is something that is a consequence of when game series swap development teams.

yeah only playing Vanilla skyrim is basically just good. With mods it can be insane. The base game is a good framework. But the sheer amount of mods available skyrocketed interest and further community development in the game. This is why PC > all
Skyrim with Ultra HD texture packs was

honestly the mods just annoy me, because i typically want most of them, ill spend hours downloading them, then hours installing them, then half the time ill have conflicts.
mods are great, but they need to pack them together more, sometimes they do but they still miss a bunch of stuff

Bethesda Game Studios as far as I've noticed doesn't seem to announce things years ahead of time... usually they do so in the last year of its production. I mean - they haven't released a major game since Skyrim... 2011... they've had some time to work
