Really, Fallout 4 is graphically more impressive. Witcher 3 does faces and emotions better, and with HairWorks hair/fur is obviously better.
But the overall world, scale, how weather interacts with the world, the liveliness of NPCs -- Fallout wins out.
Witcher 3 has a bright and beautiful world, but it feels comparatively cartoony to traverse.

Cool story... I deliver packages for a living and today I delivered someone their package and he met me at the door with a $15 starbucks gift card. On the gift card where it has To: it said "To: The person who brought us fallout 4"

anyone who's played fallout 4, how badly is it ported? aka did they design the UI for consoles or did they spend more than 5 minutes thinking about PC users?
UI can be painful to traverse at times, especially with storage at a large scale (everything in my workshop seems to just group together and sort by name; have to physically store weapons apart from items if I want ease of access.)
Pip-boy is a little bit of a headache to click around in, but not hugely detrimental.
Inventory shows a picture of armor coverage, and if a piece of gear unequips/replaces particular areas by swapping, those areas flash on the Pip boy so you know what is being impacted.

Will be snapping more screens after my meditation when I hop back in game shortly (just got up).
No need for shrooms for it though, was likely to spam this thread with screens anyway -- just gives me something to keep in mind.
Gotta get myself up and running for the day again first though.

-------------------- "I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

Really like how the environment and weather system works.
Can set out from home in the morning on a sunny day.

Then have a radiation storm set in, and either need to suit up for it or seek shelter. Rad storms really dramatically change the feeling of the world though.

Am also quite fond of the way in which rain and storms actually roll in -- Clouds start building, it starts to rain a little, wind and rain picks up and a regular rain storm starts. Unlike Skyrim, hiding under a rooftop or any other object actually protects from the rain.
Interior spaces are also nice, because even areas with load doors have functional windows that allow me to look outside while they change the lighting in the room.

Really looking forward to lighting overhaul mods though, to make lighting more ambient and authentic. Sneaking around at night doesn't really feel like night without a climate overhaul.

Random question, has anyone found anything sitting in all of the cars? I don't mean the giant transport trucks or buses, but just small passenger vehicles. I keep checking them all and never find anything in any of them. Starting to think there never will be anything and it's not even worth the time of looking. I could swear in 3 or NV or something there was sometimes random food/ammo sitting in them but it's been so long I could just be remembering wrong.

I just got my answer Found something in one in a parking garage. Not sure if it's special since it's a special "room". Still yet to find a single thing in cars out in the wasteland though.

I really liked how dying light did night time. Nearly pitch black outside, and hard to see anything without a flashlight.

So far this game has not let me down. It is every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. I haven't even really ran into any major glitch yet and I'm about 8-10 hours in. Probably going to find one in the next 5 minutes for saying that though.

I'm downloading that shit right now. It's gonna take forever though, I can't sit still. The next few days I'm cutting off all connections with the outside world.

How big is the map compared to skyrim or fallout 3?
