I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

Yeah, have had a DK2 for almost a year now.
Has been great. Only thing preventing me from suggesting people to pick up the DK2 themselves is the CV1 launch on the horizon. Going to have to pick up a new unit after launch, already totally feel it will be worth it though.

The hype is burning in me now, I held it off for awhile but now with only 1 month left the flame has ignited. Just finished watching all the SPECIAL videos up to the latest one & a few game-play ones & read up on perks & some changes. Voice protagonist along with the other changes like no more Skills & power-armor being more a mech-suit rather then some other form of armor isn't really phasing me too much. I am open to change I mean it will still be a dope wasteland game ether way but taking the core RPG Fallout features away will be different. Ether way I am keen as fuck now.

I am pretty sure my brother told me that will no longer be in the game sadly, but who knows?

New short trailer for all you wanderers out there:
I like the casual no-look blasting of the roaches right before the Super Mutant scene.

Only partially Fallout 4 related, new trailer also went up for the next Fallout Shelter update
Noteworthy because it contains footage of Piper, one of the new companions.
Not sure I have seen footage of her anywhere before, but seem to recall reading about her back around the time of gamescom, so maybe this snippet was from the presentations that we didn't get to see.

How are there 27 different versions?

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. Maybe there's a box with a communist power armor guy on the front, then one with a mangy dog, another with a ghoul, one with a gas mask guy, one with a super mutant... etc

Three different systems and eight different languages. Not sure what the ninth version for each system is, unless there is another language aside from what Steam lists.

That would explain the PS and Xbox versions, but don't most PC games these days exist in multi-language format?
Either way it answers my question. I had no idea why there were several different versions on each platform.
18 days. This waiting is killing me.

Trying to decide whether to a Let's Play series blind starting launch day, or wait until the territory of the game is more familiar.

I'm just gonna do what I always do and dive in. I kinda expect my post frequency to plummet around launch time . It's been kinda high lately because I don't have much else to do.

Yeah, expecting to kind of drop off the face of the planet as well.
That is part of my motivation to do a video series -- pull my head back out periodically to edit and upload. Can get really absorbed in Bethesda's games. With all the new perks to fiddle with, the customization of all weapons and housing, and everything to explore, I may otherwise fall in and lose track of time too often.

Every time I get a new Bethesda game, it reminds me of when me and my brother first got Golden Eye on N64. We'd start playing and next thing we know, the sun is coming up.

Fallout 4 controller layout now known; Sprint and throw grenade have their own dedicated buttons.
Quote:
The game manual for Fallout 4 on the Xbox One has been made available on the Xbox One Smartglass APP. Included in the manual, is the control scheme for Fallout 4. Interestingly the scheme mentions a designated ‘throw grenade’ button, and a bash/sprint button.
In previous Fallout game, players needed to cycle through their weapon inventory to be able to throw a grenade. The Bash and Sprint buttons are new to Fallout 4.
The default control scheme on the Xbox One:
LB - VATS RB - Bash / Power Attack / [hold] for Grenade LT - Aim / Block RT - Attack Back - Toggle POV Start - Pause L - Move L - [click] Sprint R - Look R - [click] Sneak Y - Jump B - Pipboy X - Ready / Reload A - Activate PAD - Favorites PAD + A - Select Favorite
The controls for the PS4 version of the game, can be discerned by converting Xbox One Controller buttons, to the buttons on the PS4’s Dualshock 4.
http://wccftech.com/fallout-4-manual-reveals-xo-control-scheme-bashing-sprinting/
Likely to stick to keyboard and mouse set up for the sake of aiming and hotkeys, but interesting as I do have an Xbox controller plugged to my computer as well.
