They look very promising The only way you will be able to tell is by doing spore prints Take a white sheet of paper and a black sharpie and make a mark and place the caps on top for awhile until spores drop and if they match the marker your good to go. Though make sure you have all of the other attributes accounted for and make a ID request with the subcatagory ID request for us to see and get a better answer make sure you take pictures of the spore prints and upload them as well. They may be pan foes but it is the season for both at the moment and they will go away until fall for a bit so collect now May I ask you state? Looks like somewhere in Maryland to me. Don't look for bruising because they normally don't but do a write up on the gills stem spore color etc And don't eat them until you do

I'm doing spore prints now, I've read that Cints/subs don't go full black until fully matured and can be dark brown beforehand. The state is Illinois

If my memory serves correctly.. I believeeeeee, pan foes will be brown and PS. Foes will be purple black/brown. The stems look nice. I noticed my genuine pan cints had a fat stem at the top and skinnier towards bottom. Also looked slightly twisted with the grain of the stem. A lot of times mine had imperfectly circular caps if that helps? Kind of like a wavy saucer effect but not always. If its a sawd lawn its a good chance amigo. Go

I just don't really want to eat them yet as pan foe seems to be deadly, and I'd rather not end up dead trying to trip on mushrooms

So I should be good to go to eat these, and there is a good chance they are pan Clint./Subb. which are psychoactive

Pan foes are certainly not deadly by any means. They are almost identical to cincs but have different colored spores. Yours do have a definate look of brown so probably foes but it could be the camera. Doking a spore print is the only way to tell. And dr feelgood, idk what your talking about with pan foes and PS. Foes... doesn't make any sense. We are discussing panaeolus cincs and they're similarity to panaeolina foes. Nothing to do with any psilocybe species

Ok, I did the prints and they appear to be brown/ black. If I go ahead and eat these there should be no threat to me and the worst that should happen is that I DONT have a trip, correct?

DO A F***ING SPORE PRINT!!! You probably have pan foes but the only way to be 100% sure is by seeing if the spores are brown or black!!!!! That is you test. Its simple. And don't worry you can eat them they are edible either way. Jesus I don't know how many times I gotta say spore print And if they aren't 100% jet black then your wasting you time eating them. But you seem young so go right ahead

I've been doing a spore print and they are coming out brownish black, and I have some free time so I am gonna go ahead and try them. I just wanted to get some confirmation I wasn't doing anything too foolish

-------------------- I give you the choice of 2 pills.
With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.
