Nature Boy gets to deal with a whole lot of medically gnarly shit which frustrates him. Zappaisgod is on a mission to keep y'all safe the hard way.
Zombie3, you're living up to your name with bits and pieces coming off. Like "God" said earlier you're gonna be marked, but instead of everything off below the knee its a few toe tips.
Its still a Big Thing, but you are taking this like a trooper. Your "ok let';s deal with this" attitude is admirable.
Maybe you should put a link in your signature that says I left my toes at doc Shulgin's in your signature so that the curious can learn from your example. Make it an educational experience for others, it helps to make thgis tragedy into something more positive, if others can learn from it.
Its what one of our members does with the pipe bomb disaster that took his hands.
I wish you ALL STRENGTH in your upcoming surgery and final recovery from your RC phenetylamine induced gangrenous ergotism.
Focus on LOVE, you know what I mean. You'll overcome this. What will happen in the depths of anesthesia will help you further in resolution of your spiritual issue, it will make it better not worse. I'll put in a good word for you.
We love you man.

I love Zappa, for real. He seems like a total hardass but you all know hes just looking out for your well being through hard learned lessons he's experienced himself. Hes one of the top quality members this sites managed to maintain throughout the years. I rue the day he slowly fades out and slips away.

Absolutely! Hell of a great guy
I just wish I would've realized it sooner.

Well, I am really impressed with how you handle this Zombi, if that means anything for you. Humour has always been a good way to deal with tragedy.
And although your wounds were self-inflicted, I kind of doubt that you intended any of this to happen. It did happen, and you go through it all like a real trooper. My respect!

lol....I am 55 and a grandfather...
I guess that's why I kinda get Nature boy's view...I have a really good friend that almost died from alcoholism....literally months in a hospital nearly "wet brain". A couple dr.s truly saved his life (his organs were shutting down) and worked very hard to help restore his mental faculties. He recently went to one of these drs. to get a script refilled smelling of alcohol ...and the dr. reamed him....His response...I'm never going back to him.
I know it's their job ..but many of them really take their job above and beyond normal duties...There were plenty of medical staff saving Zombies life...I can feel for them.
Also, I think NB is one of the most respected members on this site and gives free advice to peeps all the time...plus has given us one awesome extraction tek.

Making an impulsive mistake regarding dosage is a little different then chronically disregarding the advice of doctors.
Zombi showed a momentary lapse of judgement, nobody is trying to dispute that, but nobody is perfect and from the point he decided he fucked up and it was time to go to the hospital until now he has shown great judgement and is a perfectly respectable patient from his account. Trying to speak for the medical profession based on your own personal frustrations regarding other people's choices in life isn't really part of the authority medical doctors are given.
Not only is nobody here his patient, he is not making statements regarding medical science or practice, so the only reason NB would throw in that he is a doctor in my mind is that he has some sort of superiority complex.

Hey guys just got out of recovery now I'm just on the floor
Even got a private room thanks to my step moms insurance, boo yah!
Procedure went flawless and only took an hour. My anaesthesiologist and my surgeon are funny guys lol they were impressed with my chemistry knowledge and kept calling me Walter White
Only 2 toes were aputated. The big toe and the one beside it. My other 3 toes are alive right to the tip and the black tissue will fall off like a scab This means that in time I will have 8/10 NORMAL TOES!!! It's pretty incredible after reading the OP to find out I only lost 2 toes out of this shit
Also got quite a lovely buzz still from the fentanyl IV during surgery, and the hydromorphone from after the surgery
Unfortunately I have to sit in hospital for 2-3 days with an antibiotic IV So that will be hella boring but I have my step moms iPad so I'll watch Netflix and hang out with you guys hahha!
Feels good to have one more step of my recovery over with, surgeon thinks I'll be back on a skTeboard and off to start my career (WOO-HOO!!) by October!! Can you believe that?
Now I just need me some fucking food lol haven't eaten in almost 24 hours.

How dare you use so many smilies at such a serious time
Just kidding 8/10 is a fantastic ratio. Your doctors should be proud and I think you definitely should be too because like I said you made the most important call in seeking treatment when you realized something was wrong and that redeems any mistake you may have made before that.
