informing films on netflix

If you have netflix, watch the documentary •surviving progress• as well as another documentary called •park avenue•
These films have given me a different perspective on some issues that I previously may not have fully understood but saw as important...
•surviving progress• confirms for me the accuracy of Terence mckennas speculations on these issues....
(Other good netflix films •the other one: the long strange trip of Bob wier •neurons to Nirvana: understanding psychedelic medicines •gonzo •hippie masala •culrure high •when the iron bird flies •ayahuasca: vine of the souls •enter the void •what plants talk about •jack keuroac: king of the beats •DMT: the spirit molecule)

•terms and conditions may apply•
This film was actually much better than I thought it was going to be, I thought I knew a good deal about this issue and I was still able to learn some new things. If your reading this chances are you use this forum, it is good to take some of these things into consideration.

Refering to human history heroclitus said "we never step in the same river twice"
In response to this statement mad by heroclitus Terence mckenna said:
"if your paying attention, we never step in the same river once"
.... seriously though the documentary •surviving progress• sounds like Terence mckenna-ism through-out the entire film, when speaking in regards to these topics mckenna said the exact same things there people are saying, mckenna really was ahead of his time and accurate in all of his speculations on real world issues, politics, and history....
Now people who are almost certianly unaware of Mr.mckennas work are independently reaching the same conclusions.

•lets make money• & •park avenue•
Informed me on world economics, which ill admit I did not understand as well as I would have liked to, actually •lets make money• involves world economics and •park avenue• involves United States economics. These films are not at all boring and actually answer some of the questions I had regarding these issues.
I think if you watch •surviving progress• •lets make money• & •park avenue• You will be able to form much more informed oppinions and judgements regarding these issues. It also helps in giving you a global perspective and the view point that takes into to consideration how all these things are connected.
If you have the time and are in the mind state for absorbing information on global socio-economic issues I recomend these films.
(Though •surviving progress• is pure mckennaism, I hear terences thoughts echoed in the words of every individual speaking in that film. I'm not saying these people are repeating terence's philosophy, I'm willing to bet that these people have ever heard of Terence mckenna, but independently, several experts in serveral fields reach the exact same conclusions as Mr. Mckenna. Most people get so hung up on either the timewave theory or the mushrooms role in evolution theory that they fail to listen to the massive ammounts of other topics that Mr. Mckenna would speculate on, and when it comes to the issues covered by this film Mr. Mckenna actually had a good deal to say, and he was completley accurate, he reached the same conclusions as these experts only he had this all figured out in the mid to late 90s....ok enough about Terence, •surviving progress• is an amazing film, and unless you know mckennas work really well you probably wont make the connection, so if your not a fan of mckenna don't let it stop you from watching this film.

(These are all netflix films)
I have another thread called "psychedelic documentaries" where over 8 films are linked up.and ready to watch. All great films, good information, accurate, and objective, crucial for anybody learning about psychedelics.

The Source. The best documentary I've seen on netflix.
Netflix will be responsible for the next psychedelic movement. Lots of heady docs on there.

I don't think its netflix that will be responsible so much as it is the documentary makers, netflix will post any films it thinks people will watch, but the documentary makers have caught onto this psychedelic thing, realized its to amazing to keep quite, and are flooding the mainstream with it....

Well, I do love a good documentary, but this isn't Facebook to just share your favorite things. Perhaps pick a documentary and discuss something about it. This thread has a shelf life to be fixed, or it will be dumped.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

I'm not being lazy, since he's newer to PS&P I'm giving him the chance to fix his thread. Next time I see he's logged in, if he hasn't, it's gone.

Does this not count as discussing the films?
I don't see any problems with discussing these films, but if you think you have to remove it, do what you have to do.
(Below is my second or 3rd post)
•lets make money• & •park avenue•
Informed me on world economics, which ill admit I did not understand as well as I would have liked to, actually •lets make money• involves world economics and •park avenue• involves United States economics. Definantly did not belong in the philosophy section, maybe sociology since all the films are socio-economic...
There's really nothing interesting going on here regardless, but Damn I wish there would be a thread for film recommendation, and not Hollywood bullshit, but actually good films.

This thread was moved from Philosophy, Sociology & Psychology.
Reason: Not suited for PS&P
FWIW I liked The Inexplicable Universe series on Netflix.
