Regular recycled quart jars instead??
    #21750169 - 06/01/15 07:59 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

For the rye berry grain tek, can regular recycled quart jars with a metal lid and glass container be used? By recycled, I mean old picked gherkin jars or old pickled vegetable jars etc. The canning quart jars imported to UK by Kerr or Bell are really expensive and can't seem to get them anywhere here..

Thank you for taking a look at my post and replying

Yeah, I use old spaghetti jars. Just make sure it seals well before and after you pressure cook it.

PP5 containers work well too.
