So I grew some poppys a few years ago when I lived at my Moms and I'm actually staying here for a little bit to help out around the house and stuff...anyways are these poppys? I have some in a pot that I know are poppys but my question is are these poppys:

There's no poppies in that pot, or in any of your pictures. Most that I can see are common weeds.

There are no poppies in anything you pictured man, sorry.
And even if you did have a prickly poppy in the pot,it's a highly poisonous plant, that will do you no good unless you just want it just for aesthetics.

It's got to be sowed in cold weather. Which I have had the chance of never doing. Having a green thumb is not all its cracked up to be. I naturally assume I can grow anything. Not so. So maybe my 3rd time around will be the charm. It can be pretty tricky but it's been grown for millenia.
buddy. Hope you can grow some.

Dude,just do a fall planting
They will get much bigger, and you'll have flowers by spring
You could also start some indoors now,and grow them under 24/7 light, then put them out in October when it cools down here.
Also,it doesn't have to be cold weather ferrel, spaceman germinated and is growing his in his in a greenhouse with temps reaching 90 degrees he said.
I also made some tea on several occasion back in Florida, and threw the resulting seeds out in the yard, during the hottest months of summer, and I got tons of sprouts.
Poppies do like the cooler temps, and do better in them, but it isn't necessary at all.
