in america its common to be robbed, because people notice when you withdraw a hundred thousand dollars and carry duffelbags into your house after a short 10 minute trip

Interestingly, Thailand has about the same rate of murder and gun violence as the US.
The only story I recall of someone being robbed and killed after trying to buy a house in cash was in Japan, but I am sure it's happened in Thailand/other Asian countries as well.

people get robbed of large ammounts of cash all the time in Japan and the USA. it doesnt matter if they are buying a house, or 5 kilos of cocaine.
walking out of a bank with hundred/s thousand dollar raises alarms to legits and criminals. cause they tend to mingle.

$100k is nowhere near a multi duffel bag sized amount if it's in hundreds though, that's just 10 of those bundles of 100 bills.
