I just need a confirmation thats all. I'm gonna go ahead and assume toss it, but was wondering what it could be if anyone knows. Also on another dish I have some clear stringy bodies(not shown in picture) forming kind of similar to the mycelium but not white.. any ideas?

It's bacteria, I am fairly new to the study so I don't know exactly which one.
Let the mycelium colonize the plate and then take a transfer to a clean plate ( that's why you use agar) I would recommend wrapping your petri dishes and parafilm or cling wrap to prevent further contamination. Always wrap after you first pour once cooled and after a transfer

You will need to make a few transfers to get to that point, 3 at least maybe more.
There are lots of good articles here to read, wish I could be more help but like I said still a noob myself.
Hopefully a TC will come along and be more help

looks like bacteria to me as well... If you start to see myc growth, you can isolate away from the bacteria to a new dish, and then isolate away further until to have a clean culture. (cleaning cultures)
