Took 1.75G, was perfect. Took away back pain, felt nice and light, slight head spaciness/euphoria, and still able to drive to dinner.

Yea well Maeng Da kicked my ass. Mine was very potent and a bit edgy, with a nausea line well below most other powder I have worked with.
If you have a reliable source the names mean something. It may mean nothing if you don't and they just give random crap under whatever name sells... But a name should be a hint as to effect.
Just like a vendor can call his leaf "red"; then suddenly names matter?
All I'm saying is Maeng Da (pimp grade) should be high potency. It may not be, but for comforts sake I'd give it some sway in my initial dose measurment; more than "red" vs. "green".
Shroomclimber I'm glad you dosed conservatively and had a good first experience.
-------------------- Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order: 1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine 2)Amanita (urine drank twice) 3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose) 4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators) 5)Salvia (need to try quid)
All readable matter in the above post is ficticious... any similarities to real life are purely coincidental. Blessing.

Glad to hear it, I love the more mild or lower doses like that myself.

All that matters is white vein, green vein, red vein.
This 100% When certain batches are stronger than others of the same vein it just means the more potent batch came from a more mature tree and/or was milled finer, stored in a vacuum & freeze dried for export. As for Maeng Da, I've tried quite a few vendors where their Maeng Da strains were considerably more potent than their other milled leaf Kratoms, but just as many vendors that their Maeng Da wasn't as good. Location and Kratom "strain type" is just branding really.
As for people that have never tried it. Dosing is extremely subjective. I've given a friend 8g's of high quality krat and he barely felt it while 3g's of the same batch made my girl get dizzy and throw up from being so high off of it.
I like 5g's minimum personally regardless of having a tolerance or not.

Kratom is fucking awesome, but how often should you take it? I usually take it 2 times a week but it feels too good to be true. Usually 3-4 gram on an empty stomach will do it for me.

I have been on a couple week daily stint with it, once I stop smoking for around a week I will try and cut the krat out too for awhile.

I've taken it everyday for years but I am also very healthy. Work your way up slowly would be my only suggestion.

My strategy with kratom is to order a kilo, use it every day until it is gone, or maybe 2/3rd's gone like this time, then just take a break and go through the withdrawal and take a couple months off then back on.
Here are my issues with taking kratom every day though:
1. My sleep gets messed up. 2. If I wake up too early, I am in slight withdrawal and need to take some to get back to sleep. 3. The energy effects honestly fade and I get more apathetic and stagnant on it. Like pretty much content with doing nothing because I feel good. 4. The half life is super short, so your body craves it multiple times a day if you become physically dependent on it. 5. If you are dependent on it, you basically need to take your kratom with you if you are gone anywhere for an extended period of time and it is not the easiest drug to consume on the fly. 6. The anti anxiety effects are prominent at the beginning, but the slight inter dose withdrawals and anxiety you get without it honestly start to overcome some of the benefits.
Those are just a few things I can think off the top of my head. I wish I could use it on and off and not every day but I always order bulk and get in the habit of using it all the time.
I love kratom and will end up ordering it again. I am gonna seriously though take a 3 or 4 month break and focus on school.
Also if you have ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety issues, ect it is pretty much a cure if you use it correctly. Daily use honestly probably does have more benefits then negatives, but the short half life is a pain in the ass with the plant.
When you use it every day the high only lasts like 1-2 hours MAX not even joking. If you take a good dose after a long break the high feels more like 6 hours. I have even felt the effects for eight hours with no tolerance.

Just an update on my withdrawal.
I think this is day four without any kratom, 90 percent of the physical withdrawal is over. Honestly though the depression is still here just as bad. I also have been having major problems sleeping.
Overall though I am in the clear. I am gonna wait until next year to do a big order again.
Kratom is dope man, my favorite overall drug for daily use for sure.

All that is very good to know... What kind of strain do you prefer? I just ordered some super green bali powder in 8 ounces... Its a best selling strain so I think its gonna be great, plus somone recommended it. What do you think?

I'm with you on that withdrawal depression right now, I feel like fucking shit
Unlike you, I never tend to notice w/d until at least 24hr after my last dose, so nothing on that list really presents itself as a problem to me. Regardless, having to go days without really does suck if you're dependent.

I have noticed something very unexpected, I have always suffered from bad psoriasis and nothing helped. When I started using kratom it cleared up 100%. I quit for a while and it came back, started again and it went away. I really think it's the kratom.

Kratom is a plant with many, many benefits. There is a list of the many alkaloids found in Kratom, some of which are opioids and some of which are also anti-inflammatory.
-------------------- Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute or an hour or a day or even a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.

It may have something to do with the anti inflammatory properties, or one of the other many beneficial alkaloids in this wonderful plant. Psoriasis is an awful condition. Painful, itchy red blotches that covered my arms and chest. It made me very self conscience because it looks like some contagious rash but It is a hereditary auto immune disease. The only thing they can really do is prescribe you a pill that suppresses your immune system, making you susceptible to infections and it is hard on your liver, among other side effects.

I used to have a pretty bad case of mild-severe plaque psoriasis as well. Started about 10 years ago and ranged from clear to bad over the years. It's been 99% clear now for the past 10 months, but before that it was pretty bad around my elbows, knees, forearms and even some on my face. What completely cleared it up for me was quitting alcohol (that's a huge flare up trigger for me) as well as a lot of being outdoors in the sunshine. Exercising and proper diet I'm sure played a huge role in it as well.
Anyways, I've been dosing Kratom on and off for going on 3 years now. Usually I'll dose for 1-3 weeks straight then take a 1-3 month break. I really didn't notice any difference in my psoriasis due to the kratom, when I still had it. If I was active and out in the sun, it would get better but if I just sat around the house all day eating the kratom & smoking weed it would make it a bit worse. Basically it had no effect IME.
If it helps your skin, that's great. I'm going to do some research on the benefits of using powdered leaf kratom as an ingredient for homemade soap. That's actually what my vendor specifies it as when shipped, and I seem to remember reading that it did in fact have a lot of benefits when used orally. I've also read a few articles about Kratom changing people's skin tone to a yellowish or greenish tint which is very interesting, but weird.

Good to hear you have had some relief lately. Mine is not plaque, I forget the name of it, it looks like I have been scalded by hot water or something. Maybe that's the difference, but it definitely helps my skin. Sun also would help me when it was bad. I have also heard of ppl talking about darkening of skin, maybe it increases melanin? Or maybe the native's skin was darker because they work outside all day. The soap is an interesting idea.

I hurt my knee yesterday, and last night it started hurting to bend it at all
So now I am going to try some kratom and see if the pain relief and anti inflammatory effects do the trick which I think they should.

I'm about to run out. I have about two grams left. I took a gram this morning. Surprisingly I'm feeling pretty good off of it.
I've noticed for myself that the green vein seems more addicting than the red vein. I was getting pretty hooked to the Green Maeng Da I had. When I ran out, I switched to Red Bali and it seems to have done a wonderful job of weening me off.

i usually stick to red, greens and whites. ill only use red when im having severe back pains. green is for when i really need to get shit done, and white is for an every day kinda thing. i realy havnt noticed a difference as far as being more addictive than the other though.
