So people with addictive personalities repeat themselves?
Or are you referencing the vicious cycle of addiction that addicts put themselves through?

I was introduced to kratom in the beginning of the year. I have noticed no addictive properties to it. Hell, I was more 'addicted' to weed than kratom. I don't have a schedule. I take it as a treat to special occasions. When I go for a hike. When I am meeting people I dont know or large crowds (does wonders for anxiety). When I have nothing going on I dont take it, it helps keep my tolerance down that way. I don't take it because it's 2:00 or whatever. I guess when you take it regularly on schedule like that you could experience withdrawal feelings because you are so used to your body the way it feels while on kratom.

It's an addiction in the same way coffee is to me. If you stop it's just a few days of tiredness and discomfort so its no big deal at all.

Well it takes two to tango. BC certainly seems prone to addiction, but he wouldn't be experiencing the withdrawals if he didn't take Kratom.
I'm not prone to addiction, but I've taken Kratom long enough now on a regular schedule that I notice a little fatigue without it. Though it's nothing compared to coming off heroin or meth. And seeing how it quells my cravings for harder drugs, I think it's worth the mild addiction that can come with it.

Same for me, no "withdrawals" to speak of, IMO it's just the craving for an opioid/opiate. Dealing with addiction for 15 plus years I may be fine for days/ weeks, but the monkey will come back. I don't think one ever truly gets over an opiate addiction. I was out of kratom today and snorted a piece of sub. Kinda feeling down about slipping up, but then I think about how far I have come from the way I used to be.

Last night I was toss n washing with some ice water and I think I came to the conclusion cold water works better for toss n wash.
My theory is the cold prevents the water from acting as a solvent as much and acquiring the kratoms taste.
With the cold water I couldn't even tell I had any in my mouth half the time. Where as lukewarm water always starts tasting like kratom after a short swish.
Anyone else notice this?

Yes, that is the case. Also dont let it sit after mixing or the particle will absorb the water. Gagalicious.

I've been taking mine mixed with mango odwalla as soon as I found that it was the best mixer and masks the taste quite wonderfully. Then I drink a cup of coffee. Got me feelin gooooood

I have learned that the hard way.
Some kratom seems to have more of a offensive or mild taste then others I have also noticed.
I have one kind that always goes down smooth and another that I always taste and want to gag.
Coffee + kratom is nice too, I dig it for when I want to be sure the kratom doesn't sedate me, at least immediately.

For the longest time I was convinced krarom was not addicted and had no withdrawals. The reality is it is addictive and does have withdrawals but it takes a very very long time to develop and is not severe even then.
It took me almost two full years of multiple times a day dosing to develop any withdrawals . Now I do get withdrawal if I don't dose , it takes about 24 hours to fully manifest and its moderate , not severe.
I get some depression, running crying eyes, and general unhappiness that lasts a few days.
But part of it is that I have a tendency to depression that Kratom totally cures and without it it comes back.
But make no mistake if you take Kratom long enough and often enough you will get physical withdrawals but it takes a long long time and is never severe.
It's about as addictive as coffee, slightly more addictive then weed.
If you use it 3 times a week or less you will never get withdrawal.
Even after a year of all day every day dosing it was so mild as to be almost unnoticeable . But after two years of all day daily dosing its moderate , physical withdrawal .
Still totally worth it and nothing to be scared of but if you want to avoid it just don't dose every single day.
If you do dose every single say sooner or later you will get withdrawal but it takes a crazy long time to develop and goes away pretty quick and is very manageable.

I have a harder time not smoking the ganja personally. They both make me irritable if I take a break after prolonged use too.
They both can effect my appetite and energy levels to varying amounts, and sleeping schedule.
I don't know if I could even say one is more addictive then the other in my case, they are both pretty mild anyways.
I have almost 0 issues stopping my kratom use, smoking however? That is a challenge. Stopping either will definitely give me some mild withdrawals sometimes though.

I think drinking coffee after I dose makes it kick in faster. Almost like making tea but without having to choke down that bitter concoction.

Cannabis is far more addictive for me than Kratom. But I've been a daily smoker since I was 14.
It's nice to use kratom to ease up my cravings for smoking.
Kratom and coffee are a match made in heaven. I could see the hot acidic liquid extracting some of the kratom's alkaloids as well.

Gladd I am not the only one who feels like that
I wonder if putting a bit of kratom in with coffee grinds would do anything, I may have to try next time I make some coffee.

Care to point out who made that claim and where?

We are just comparing it to other common things and pointing out that many other relatively benign or commonly abused things are worse.
Of course it is going to vary person to person, and people with pre exiting addictions especially opiates are going to be more susceptible to it

No one is arguing here. Just asserting our own experiences into the discussion.
I'm just saying that it was harder for me to stop smoking weed. It took the pressure of finding a job and possibly drug tested in order to kick the habit completely. Even with a plentiful stash of kratom and the freedom to dose whenever I want, I don't find myself dosing every day, on a schedule or feeling any negative effects when I take breaks.
But that's just my experience. I'm not saying it's going to be like that for everyone. You can make anything addictive if you have an addictive personality.

I find 3x/week is tops for me without losing effect or getting a runny nose or cravings the next day. On use days I take a TBS when I get to work.
Y'all who like it with coffee try it after a good dose of Korean ginseng(also inhibits CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 so it'll be extra special) And/or with a lot of raw cacao (and its potentiator, "He Shou Wu") is sublime.
-------------------- Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order: 1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine 2)Amanita (urine drank twice) 3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose) 4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators) 5)Salvia (need to try quid)
All readable matter in the above post is ficticious... any similarities to real life are purely coincidental. Blessing.

Kratom makes me want to smoke herb and vape ecigs quite a bit. But so does coffee or any mild stimulants for that matter.
I started taking kratom daily when I drastically cut my drinking back and it definitely helped the transition to a more sober life... But I love my THC and nicotine after a nice hearty K dose for sure
