K2 almost killed my son and one of his friends will never be the same in his head. He now acts like a 7 year old kid. Very sad. I'm thanking God it's not K2. I'm going to tell him he was wrong. Thank you all.

Absolutely. I've heard as well as seen a lot of horror stories with that nasty stuff. I've never touched it myself but when I was in my early 20's and k2/spice started becoming popular it messed up quite a few of my friends.
Sorry to hear about your son, but at least he's off of it now. I'm just happy that K2 and all other synthetic cannabinoids have been illegal for some time now. It was ridiculous when you could buy it at every corner store and gas station a few years ago.

My ex was on probation so he used to buy that stuff a lot. It literally made me feel like I was retarded. I can see how it would cause permanent brain damage. One time I took three huge rips in the bong and I thought I was going to be one of those people. My head felt like it was completely detached from my body and I was stuck in a personal hell. Nasty shit.

Yea, even the pure synthetic cannabinoids like the JWH series have caused a lot of issues from what I've read. With the K2/Spice it's even worse considering you don't know what the hell else they put in there...
I understand why people use it, though. Just like you said, everyone I know that smoked it was only because they were on probation and couldn't smoke real weed. It's truly a shame.

Do you have a source for kratom's or the isolated alkaloid(s) affinities? I didn't think they were known yet. Kratom has reportedly caused significant cross-tolerance for even some of the strongest opiods, like oxymorphone.

I do not currently. I've been talking with a kratom supplier based out of SE Asia recently that may be able get his hands on isolated Mitragynine and possibly send me some.
7-hydroxymitragynine is what I'm more interested in though. I was hoping that someone here would have the knowledge to isolate that alkaloid as it seems to be the one that has the highest affinity for mu-opioid receptors.

don't take something good and turn it bad.
coca leaves are relatively alright but it gets bad when they isolate cocaine and make i.t

The best effects of kratom IMO come from the blend of its alkaloids and effects. Isolating individual compounds is bound to ruin that.
I will admit I like some extracts but I go for full spectrum isolates. I have used some more opioid heavy extracts but it was for a minor surgery so I could throw away my script.
Also on the k2 note, fuck that shit. Reminds me of when a friend thought nitrous and dust off were the same thing
My ex gf had panic attacks pretty often when she smoked weed, I asked her how it started and she said it became pretty common for her after trying some "spice" and having one.

I made some kratom gel caps the other day and just to get down the point about meat gelatin being bone process
i had fucked up really bad making them with the cap em quick machine, i tried to straighten it out then ended up spilling them on my bed so i made as much as I could because I had wiped down a bit before i started and rinsed them they got all hard and stuck to each other so i ripped them off and paper was stuck on them then days later they were like rock hard
I put one in my mouth and it seemed to dissolve a bit but yeah lesson learned
So anyway if I put some kratom at the bottom of lemon juice and then pour the juice out a day later you guys think the juice will have kratom in it? or if i boil water with it?

You're absolutely right, man. I think that people that have studied kratom, even just a little bit have come to the conclusion that the 40+ identified alkaloids are what make kratom special in its natural form.
My interest in 7-hydroxymitragynine is purely from a scientific standpoint since there is so little information on how it interacts with our receptors. I'm in no way trying to find someone to isolate it in order to get high.
If that was the case I would just go back to using traditional opiates.

I add my kratom INCENSE (a tablespoon of kratom) to two teaspoons of sugar (to mask a bit of SMELL), then add two ounces of water in a five hour energy bottle for portability. I let it sit overnight to get it all worked up.
edit: derp! I use one half a teaspoon of citric acid to that mix.
edit: and you carry that incense around to make rooms smell good where-ever you want!
the citric acid for balling fruit doesn't sound bad
reminds me of drinking for some reason cuz it prolly taste pretty bad at more then 2oz lol

BitterC, I just have to disagree with you sir on the "Green borneo is no good" comment, because I just had four grams and it certainly locks your couch for a bit.
Like really, I've tried two of the reds and this green, and I'm thinking about getting a kilo of the green after today.

It all depends on the batch, freshness, and how the powdered leaf is stored after milling.
I don't think BC meant that all Green Borneo is bad, just that certain batch he received from his vendor. If that's not what he meant, then he's definitely wrong lol.
For example, I've had batches of Maeng Da that were amazingly potent and another batch of the exact same strain & same vendor a few months later that left a lot to be desired. In cases like those it's most likely that the second batch was picked from a tree that was much less mature, thus causing it to have lower concentrations of active alkaloids.

How much did you take roughly?
And I don't know if you answered me earlier, but do you have a tolerance to opiates? Even a very slight one?

I did some leaf kratom that didn't do anything but it was because I swallowed the leaf whole and didn't brew or chew it.
Anyway.... Have any of you been getting constipated yet? Its only been a two days and I think its already throwing things off for me.
