San Junipero isn't dark and tense like the other episodes, so it stands out. But it's very touching and I thought it was real sweet and emotional. I like that one a lot, but for different reasons compared to other episodes. Overall, I do think it fits in with the rest of the series though.

Men Against Fire and Shut Up And Dance were both ideas that I felt were poorly executed. The latter has been done many times, and the former was a good idea that could have been done better.
Nosedive is my favorite of the season, with the biggest classic Black Mirror feel to it, and a cool aesthetic flair. Playtest is solid, I liked the concept and it made me feel incredibly uneasy. San Junipero was neither shockingly good nor notably bad - It sort of just trudged on from the beginning.
Have not seen the last episode yet however. Overall I don't think it's the strongest season, but i'm glad there are more episodes.
From favorite to least: White Christmas Fifteen Million Merits Nosedive The Entire History Of You Playtest The Waldo Moment White Bear San Junipero Be Right Back Men Against Fire The National Anthem Shut Up and Dance

Fifteen Million Merits San Junipero White Christmas White Bear Nosedive
Top 5 in order, the rest are too hard to put in order after that. I thought San Junipero was fucking great, and I watched it again immediately after seeing it the first time. It's really a 1a and 1b for the first two. It seems like White Christmas was made up of a few different story ideas that they couldn't stretch into standalone episodes, or something like that.

I don't want to have to torrent this... wonder why they did that?

Well that blows.
I'm in Canada too. Guess I'll have to torrent or use a VPN to say I'm in the states.

i watched a few more episodes of this last night and i think its a halfway decent show in its own right but anybody who says its the next twilight zone is kidding themself. its really nowhere near as eerie as the twilight zone and the characters in the show are in way too much control of the events of the episodes

Yeah I noticed this too, I think it might be because they didn't give potential viewers a bad impression and turn them off from watching the new ones Netflix made. So instead of starting off on the one where the British PM has to fuck a pig, you start off on the one with that guy from Mad Men.
I ended up torrenting the first season and watching the second season on a streaming site.

Well yeah it's not exactly the same, but there are some very strong similarities in both the format and in the apparent motivation for making it (e.g. a lot of exploration of "mob mentality" in contemporary culture and its relationship with technological advancement). I find a lot of it pretty eerie.

It shouldn't even be being compared to TTZ. It's a whole different show, just that it has similarities to the way TTZ is setup is all. (standalone episodes that are slightly different than our current reality)
But anyways, glad I remembered to post that the new episodes are out. I think a lot of people would enjoy this and happy to see a lot are.

It's okay. 20 years ago something of this caliber would've been par for the course. Now, it's The Best Thing Ever.

Ya the last one was definitely my favorite. Probably because it is the most realistically terrifying and possibly close.

I thought Shut Up and Dance was the most plausible episode. Shit like that has even already happened. Robot bees controlled by hashtags? Not so much. I did like that episode though; Kelly MacDonald is awesome.

I liked nosedive best so far. Although perhaps unrealistic, it highlighted real problems with our current society and how people use social media and treat their popular/unpopular friends even today. And companies are already doing stuff like offering lower insurance rates based on who your friends on social media are.
Also it's kinda funny that the shroomery actually uses a 5 "star" system. Works pretty well here, so who knows, maybe it would actually work IRL?
