Withdrawal

So I have been a pot smoker for about 20 years now. I get really bad withdrawal symptoms when I dont smoke pot for a couple of days. I moved on to wax recently and when I dont have it for a few days I get no withdrawal symptoms. Its been a week since Ive had a dab and im wondering what is so different about the two that i withdrawal with pot and not wax.
Has anyone else experienced this? What could cause these two to differentiate so much that the withdrawal process is so different?

I don't know man, almost sounds psychosomatic to me. I don't get withdraw as much as I do just downright irritable. I find wax to be much harsher so I
was surprised that it wasn't the other way around. Wax with me seems to burn my throat and get A LOT of residue in my lungs.

The withdrawal symptoms I get are physical mostly and rarely mental (slight depression)
I get really bad stomach problems, insomnia, and loss of appetite with weed but not wax. Its weird, I know
Wax for me is harsh. I cough up a lung every dab. However, I don't gain a tolerance to wax like I do weed. I guess it's because its a concentrate.

Perhaps there is an active ingredient in the plant that is removed when it is converted to wax/concentrate, and this ingredient is responsible for your withdrawal. I know extraction techniques are aimed at capturing THC, so it is possible there is another culprit in the buds.

That's what I was theorizing.

If you have a loss of appetite that is normal after getting off the weed. You had an artificially high appetite before. If you still can't eat After a couple weeks I suggest eliminating things from your diet.
Once I took soda out of my diet my appetite picked up drastically.

There could also be another reason due to the differences in your cannabinoid receptors' responses to being bombarded with THC (concentrate) versus normal levels of activation (buds). Neuroplasticity, up regulation, and down regulation are often counter intuitive.
