Hey, look at that. I started a sober month myself for June.

I come from a family of addicts, so I know regular breaks are healthy.

Keep it up Mouse! I'll be there with you - hanging with friends and my wife who will be drinking all month.

Good shit man.
yeah my family is plagued by alcoholism.

I have always had enough foresight to avoid falling into a crushing addiction. Even with opiates I got out before the boat sunk.

Spent the day sober and felt fine, this will get hard this weekend but I expect to be fine.

I'm 18 days without a drug in my system. Not even caffeine.

I'm waiting till all my court shit is done. And once it is done, I'm smoking the single fattest blunt I have ever rolled. And if the time allows it, I'm gonna eat about 4g of shroomage and a couple hits of acid. Can't wait to have zero tolerance, been smoking almost every single day since the Friday after 9/11/01.

I'm currently taking a long needed break from Heroin, Meth, Crack, etc, etc, basically all "harder" substances, I've been on a good one for the past four years or so, with only a few months in-between use, not much long term sobriety as of late.

Right now I have sixteen days off of all narcotics and etc, I've been smoking mad bud and socially drinking(neither of which I did much of in the past four years) so, in short, it is nice to switch things up from time to time.

Wish you luck, 100% substance free(caffeine and nicotine included) longest I've gone was three month. :awesomenod:

It can be a challenge, but it is doable.
I can make some really gay suggestions on how to socialize sober if you want.

after going from smoking about once every 1-2 weeks lately to smoking every day the last 2 weeks, I smoked for the last time yesterday. I have to pass a drug test some time this summer for work so I have to stop.

however I'm about to go off the deep end with these kpins i got for about the next month probably.

Oh man, haha.

Only reason I would say they are gay is because looking back on it I just face palm on myself
Long story short, I spent a few months in a rehab/sober-home thing and part of the whole deal was I was going to AA/NA meetings twice a-day(I went to upwards of 150 in 60 days).

It was definitely interesting with lots of cool people, and a shit ton of disillusioned nut jobs, I read their book, I don't agree with a lot of their program but it was a worth while experience to be a part of. I meet a few people who've turned out to be good long-term friends sober or not.

They also have dances, potlucks, bowling, etc, etc.. Always something to do with somebody if the isolation gets to you. S.A meetings are fun too :naughty:

Have any of you ever done something like this purposefully and without mandate?

If I violate my plan I'll post in this thread so yall can berate me. Anyone that feels the need can join up, strength in numbers.

yeah its great. just have a gameplan for everything you would like to do. I really like to cook and eat. I do a lot of that during periods of not drinking.
