Found this little guy at home, can someone ID?
    #21745317 - 05/31/15 04:00 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

I am color blind, so some of the colors that I tried to describe may seem off from the pictures.

Habitat: Found in a flower pot outside that had store bought potting soil.

Gills: I'm color blind, but the gills look goldish/light brown???

Stem: off-white with bruising that can be seen in the pics.

Cap: Golden brown

Bruising: Bruising did occur, but unsure of the color

Location: Alabama

That looks like a gymnoplius, and I do see wood chips in the substrate.

Those pics are way way too big for my 640x480 monitor. AOHELL just kicked me off-line again too.  Too much bandwidth :frown:

Gymopilus sp., the poster above me is likely wrong and there are probably not enough details to get this to species.  Its the nature of trying to figure out Gymnopilus...

Yep, just noticed OP is in Alabama. Definitely looks like a gymnopilus species though, if spore print is rusty orange would confirm it I believe

It has rusty spores, you can see them on the veil.
