Initiating fruiting with Reishi
    #21744283 - 05/31/15 09:57 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

I'm growing Reishi in a mini mono tub with a high spawn rate. I guess it was around 1:1.
I went from agar < WBS < Pellets/coir/verm.
everything colonized well.

This mini I've got has one hole on each long side at substrate hight and 5 small holes on each shorter side near the top.

this is what it looks like now:

I've read that pasty leaves the holes taped with the exception of a few small ones near the top. Does anyone know when it's best to initiate fruiting and how to do so?

Thanks

In my experience, Reishi will basically initiate fruiting on its own. You should start to see antlers forming in a high CO2 environment such as yours.

If you want conks, all you need to do is increase FAE and the antlers will begin to transform.
