Need to clear a few things up. (simple questions)

I'm doing my first grow and I've run into a few bumps along the way. I've been researching for a few months now and I'm slowly building a mental portfolio of information. But there are a few things I cant seem to find a correct answer to. Mostly because of the many contradicting answers and time gaps between new and old info. So here are some questions I hope an experienced mycologist can clear up for me.
While using a SG-FC how often should I mist, how much should i mist, and where should i mist?
My cakes have been in the chamber since 12am on May 27th. I dunked for 24 hours then rolled. So far i have no signs of pinning. Why would this be? Am I just being impatient or did i do something wrong.

Since I have no pins, should I hold off on misting for a day or two? I've read the drying will trigger pins.
My chamber is in a large closet. Should I open the door multiple times a day to give better FAE, or should I leave it shut and only go in when I'm fanning/misting so i don't disrupt the humidity levels.
My perlite seems dry to me. How wet should it feel to the touch / when you crush it between your fingers?
I still have lots of questions but i would rather attempt another search. Thanks to anyone who can provide me with answers.

You mist the cakes until they glisten and fan right after misting. There is no schedule to misting and fanning. Everyone's environment is a little different, so basically just mist and fan then wait till the water from the previous mist is absorbed or evaporated then mist and fan again. If the perlite feels dry, don't hesitate to spray the perlite real good every so often.
Oh, and pinning can take up to a couple weeks or a little longer after birthing especially if the consoldataion time wasn't met
Sgfc don't do that great in a closet unless you have a very small fan (4") running facing away from the tub like toward the ceiling.

4 3/4" on the left, 5" on the right, 6 1/2" for the rear.
The closet itself is.
3 1/2' x 7' x 8'
But it is also packed half full with storage
Thanks for the reply
