Quote:
Asante said: Paradise...
Imagine there is a place, let's call it Heaven, where 10100000 Greater Angels soar of very many different kinds. These Greater Angels are eternal and their life consists of meeting up with each other, one on one. When two Greater Angels meet up in lower dimensional space a big bang ensues, a whole cosmos unfolds, inhabited by lifeforms and forms of consciousness that explore each other in every possible way. When this ecstatic, orgiastic process has unfolded the two Greater Angels part ways, both deeply changed by their encounter, to seek out new partners to make cosmic love with for all eternity.

Picture that the sum of all this is God.
Now picture that ALL of it is YOU.

That's a good one.

i recently had the thought;
imagine a human being, standing on a merry-go-round,
now imagine that human being stepping off.
that's all it really is.

same here Pope; I have always felt like time is the most valuable thing, and we do it all to get to it, and so shortcuts to reach that are welcome;
and it also alludes to the point that we don't have to wait for anything to be happy, can be very happy in the here and now, and that happiness doesn't have to take a particular form, if we're attentive we can see the joy in the present moment. .
that life is a dance, not a journey; and in a dance, you're not trying to get to one specific point on the floor, you're just dancing;
also as jetsun mila sang, 'go to the lowest, and you'll see the highest,' nice song; yesterday or so it occurred to me, a beautiful thought,
'Trust in time, there is time.'

also reinforcing this was the study done where people who had no time constraints would stop to help an injured person, while those who were told time was constrained, they did not stop and passed on by; this was done with grad students, but it's our nature anywhere. . . that one set home with me very much. . learned it in a tara brach talk i believe. . a few years after that i came up with the phrase, 'when we have infinite time, we are kind,' hehe, but i think i prefer my later one.
joy to you
oh one i have always loved - incidentally from where my name sort of comes from;
'time isn't after us' 'time isn't holding us' 'time is a pony ride'
