Went on my first hunt today and saw a shed load of them. I don't think any are active, but please feel free to give me some good news :-)
Habitat for all of them: grows in mostly tropical bush land in Sydney suburban areas All were found in leaf litter
The rest of the details are pretty obvious by the pictures, so I won't write them unless they are not visible
#1 Hollow stem, bruised (might be blue, hard to tell on a gray stem)

#2 Very spongy stem but not hollow, no bruising Is it possibly a Gymnopilus subpurpuratus?

#3 solid stem, bruising just a little, blue at the base Found this when I was leaving for the day. Was in a patch of long grass under trees

#4 Hollow stem, not really bruising

#5 Hollow stem, bruising a little blue Cap is blue with white around the outer rim

#6

#7 Here's a rare one I think

#8 and another WTF

#7 is Lycoperdon perlatum, or something similar.
I am not good with gilled mushrooms. But #2 looks like it is in the Russula family, Lactarius perhaps?

#1 and #2 look like Russula sp.
#3 looks close to Gymnopus dryophilus (check stem base and color of mycelial threads)
#4 could be Cortinarius or Hebeloma sp.
#5 is a Cortinarius sp., perhaps C. rotundisporus (the blue color is inherent and not from bruising).
#6 looks cool, no idea what it is, but it obviously has white spores.
#7 looks like a Lycoperdon sp.
#8 is a Mutinus sp. (aka dog stink horn)

1 is an Amanita species (a very interesting one) and 6 is an Armillaria, otherwise Anglerfish is on the money
