Pasturize using pillowcase method allow it to sit in sink over night then squeeze dry to field capacity, this is to daunting of a task was hoping to find an easier way. Guess I should have mentioned its horse manure.

i dont understand how sitting a pillow case to drain and then squeezing is daunting??
cant get much simpler than that...
i squeeze while hot, just push down for min or two on the pillowcase then reach in take a handful give moderate squeeze for few seconds dump in bucket... repeat till done then leave to cool... simple. it wont take long, put in the effort now to get it right and it will pay later.
i wear rubber gloves too lol

if it aint broke dont fix it lol
removing water from a bulk sub to get to field capacity quickly is always going to mean giving it squeeze imo.
surprising how accurate your squeeze/water content after can be with a little practice
the simpler methods always stand the test of time

The quickest & easiest, most hands-free way to hydrate 10-20 gallons of bulk sub materials comprised of horse manure/vermiculite/gypsum to field capacity.

Yeah what ham said.. poo holds TONS of water.. personally I wouldn't use the pillow case method. That's a massive amount of squeezing and it isn't evenly hydrated throughout the substrate. I've done 10+ tubs with the pillowcase and 90% of them failed due to improper moisture content.
Best way to do it is get dry manure, every 4 quarts of manure is roughly 1 quart of water. Mix thoroughly and pasteurized in jars. I can make enough manure for 2 tubs per pasteurization cycle with jars.
Usually a 2 hour process from start to finish. If I'm making more it's usually 2 tubs every 90 minutes after that.

sounds great if you dont trust the squeeze method prob better getting the moisture content right from scratch to save messing after...

That and you're not squeezing all the poos nutrients down the drain lol

im sure pasturising in a bucket or boiler will lose some nutrients but there plenty left in the poop lol.
whats lost is the heavily digested/composted matter and what is left is comparable to coir. tbh i use field picked poop so its already leeched in the rain and had most that stuff washed out imo
and if you truly think you need the extra nitrogen ect ammend with worm casts and flax meal or even insect frass.
i find the poop( done my way), gypsum and verm along with a spawn ratio 1:2 more than adequet tbh

Well I'm thinking more along the lines of the gypsum which is water soluble. If you're squeezing it out, might as well not use gypsum, but yeah I get what you're saying. Personally I just like to not lose anything . Also bucket tek works for coir. Not manure. Manure has to be properly pasteurized.

yes i do my verm seperate with the gypsum to conserve the gypsum.
i use a homebrew straining bag with poop in, inside a homebrew electric boiler.
when the poop is neraly finished i pre warm my cooler box (converted to a mash tun for brewing beer) and then add verm, gypsum and boiling water.
when the poop is ready i squeeze while hot and dump into the cooler box with the hot verm mixture and mix up then close lid and leave overnight to cool.
add spawn in morning and load montub.
this way i keep the gypsum in and dont send it down the drain
crude method but it works
EDIT i dont use a bucket tek i use a boiler and i believe mudafucka has a tek for bucket pasturisation, i could be wrong tho

If it works go for it . Better way than just soaking in a big pot, losing half of it in the soak water, then draining even more lol.
