Too much ecstasy becomes normalcy. The ocean is something truly magnificent. If you touch the water you are touching the fluid body spanning the Earth that spawned all life on earth.

But yeah you get used to it.

Maybe their fascination with having seen the ocean for the first time should be more of a reminder that sometimes we take the things around us for granted.

We do!  Some time ago I was high on MXE. The sun was shining and I went to sit outside, shirtless. I felt this unbelievably vast thermonuclear explosion that roars on for four and a half billion years lash its radiation into my flesh, four billion miles away and still so warm! I opened my eyes and saw the most beautiful clouds swirl and undulate, when do you ever watch the clouds, a constantly evolving masterpiece of creation on the sky blue canvas. I was just overwhelmed with the beauty of it, I could clearly see why the sun was revered as God in ancient times :god: it brings us life, light, warmth and we consist of stellar ashes, animated.

Thats me popping in the sun for half an hour in my backyard.

We totally take things for granted. Life is absolutely magnificent, everywhere in nature you look, if you involve your mind its just !!  :mindblown:

I live like a mile from the sea. When I lived more inland for an internship I felt suffocated by the stagnant air and the lack of a huge open space nearby. I need my open spaces.

Bring me that fishy ocean freshness

I'll never forget my mother's embarrassment the 1st time i went to the beach and complained  quite loudly about the water being too salty.

Those places up North where forests run all the way to the ocean must smell so good. Apart from all the bear shit

My first recollection of the ocean was when I went for a field trip in like first grade I think. It was sofa-king awesome. We got there very early and there was fog everywhere u couldn't even see the ocean. But it was cool cuz there were still lots of people there as if it were a hot day. Everyone was running around and having fun and I seriously felt like I was in a very cozy dream specially cuz of all the fog and considering It was like my first memory of the beach.

I see the ocean maybe like once a year and it never gets old. I can stare at it all day in awe.

The ocean smells like salty fish pussy.

Why would anyone enjoy that?
