Damn. That makes sense though. I bought a bunch of seeds before I knew what went into growing them and now don’t really have a practical set up. They’re growing in partial sun now but I’ll start shifting them into it more each day, see if that helps. Fortunately they’re not all like that. Most are haha but not all. I didn’t know what the seedling should look like so I didn’t pick up on it. Thanks FH.

They do. And if the Trichs in the back are the same as in the photo from 3 years ago, they didn't do too bad either!

Went out today and found my opuntia had toppled over. Not sure if it got top heavy, or knocked over by passing herds of deer...either way, my butt was severely hurt.

Planted this Purple Opuntia I found walking the ranch the other day. I think it's Macrocentra, but could be Gosseliniana. I should know when it blooms. Looks like it was trampled when very young, but it has a heck of a root system cause of it.

the color of the new growth is nice. Like a blue grey and then turns purps.
I have this microdasys for decor but now I want to grow it out.

mmc Thanks man, I've seen some pics of them getting big in a large flower pot if you can't plant it in the ground. It looks cool, do they fruit well?
Feroxx - I'm fairly certain this is not a santa rita even if it's a type of Gosseliniana. Some tax guides consider Santa Rita a Var of Gosseliniana. Santa Ritas have a ton of glochids; and few, if any, spines. There was some other differences but I can't recall off hand.

Ouchh, i couldn´t watch the whole video. Those spines are big and sharp but that chamel just chewing on. Dont they feel pain or is their skin in the mouth so though even the spines cant penetrate? Amazing animals, i hope they arent starving so thats why eating these spiny cactuses.

I have seen those ones before, they look very cool. I would think that was a flower but it could very well be a new segment. They look fantastic.
