 Remember this one kactus?
I know which plant that came from now!
I have a a toad that keeps burrowing in one of my cactus pots!
I have removed him several times, and he keeps coming back.
I finally had to take him around back so he wouldn't find his way back

Well,Lsoares said its opuntia stricta, and after much research,I've determined that it is.
I got it wild in Florida, and it's a Florida native,as well as a Texas native too.
This plant grows in nearly every bodies yard down there too1

Subscribed. Mine are not impressive to look at but maybe I can take some pics tomorrow. One is a cold hardy one native to Ontario, O. humifusa I think. Kept it inside this winter and unbeknownst to me it was developing this infestation of some kind of white sticky insect life on the underside of the main pad. Should have just left it outside I guess.
I'm interested to get some spineless O. fragilis and get an outdoor patch going for grafting stock. I wonder if it might confer some cold hardiness benefit to peyote compared to own-root plants.
