The two in the front are from the same pack of seeds. They are 2 years old grown under the exact same conditions but got different results.
The one on the left decided to put out 7 pups all at the same time about 1-2 weeks ago.

While removing a tree today, a gorgeous opuntia below suffered some collateral damage. While it saddened me greatly, it did work out in my favor.

It'll probably root more easily if dismantled into 1-2 pad sections right? Looks like I'm overstocked, I'll have to give some away

Many Opuntias live here we call them Fragosik(i)es (plural) and we eat their fruits which we call Fragosika.

From this
To this
In just 3 months of strong sun. Actually one of the few cacti totally undamaged by last month's hail storm. It's thicker and now has bigger spines (wich are soft, and no glochids too) definitely my favourite opuntia so far. I know 2 more strains of opuntia galapageia , but those must be to unconfortable to keep. Glochids everywhere.
