eCig suggestions please

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've messed with electronic cigarettes. I was wondering what suggestions you guys would have for a nice one. Like a really nice one with a lot of vapor and stuff. It's a little difficult finding a nice one from google since you're bombarded with shady sites from the get go and a lot seems overpriced.
So any suggestions? I'll be ordering online, so feel free to post links. I know some threads like this have existed, I did a search and couldn't find some direct links that were relatively recent.

Well before you get into like rda's and vg liquid shit. I'd suggest a sub ohm tank like the aspire...atlantis. It's like 50 bucks for the battery and a nice tank. They're made to go together and it works really good. Nothin too fancy though, but definitely recommend a sub ohm combo.

I agree with Klick an Aspire Atlantis or a Kanger Subtank on top of a Sigelei 30W box mod would be the easiest options as far as getting into the hobby
But no other device chucks fat clouds as well as a dripper + high wattage box although they are not as easy/convenient to use

I echo what the others have said. Aspire Atlantis tank for simplicity. Mechanical RDA (dripper) for chucking massive clouds with loads of flavor. I like my build right around .12-.14 ohm's using dual parallel 26ga kanthal wire.

A little safety tip:
If you're going to be vaping really low ohm builds (like 0.3 ohm and below) on a mechanical mod make sure your batteries can handle the amp load
The equation for converting voltage to amperage is to take the voltage and divide it by the resistance
So for example a 0.12 ohm build on a battery running at 4.2 volts will be drawing 35 amps which is well above the maximum amperage for many batteries (i.e. dangerous)
Sony VTC4s are known as some of the best batteries but there are many fake ones floating around
Samsung 25Rs are more available but they only have a 20 amp limit so they wouldn't be suitable for super low ohm builds
This may sound like a foreign language and if you have a regulated mod or a tank RTA with pre-built coils you don't really have to worry too much about any of this but for running an RDA on a mechanical mod it is mandatory info
Shroomism has a thread in the vaping forum dedicated to it if you'd care to learn more

A lot of stores are starting to stop selling mechs altogether.
There's too much room for user error especially with people that don't know what they're doing.
I don't think they're going to be around much longer with the regulated mods being as good as they are and only advancing.
My suggestion to you, OP is the MPV3 V3 box mod w/ temp control and the new Kanger Subtank Mini. The old version is great, but the one that just came out recently is better exponentially. Maybe I missed it, but what's your budget for getting started?

Yeah my Sigelei 150W regulated box is better than my Caravela clone mech was in every way
Mechs will likely become an antique kind of concept for people who are used to the simplicity

Exactly, and not only that, all these new TC mods come with a "Mech Mode" which is basically justt what it sounds like. So the need for an individual mech is obsolete.
I think the way they look is really the only advantage to them.

If OP is on a tighter budget than what I suggested in my last post, I think the best upgrade for cheap is the new Kanger sub-box mod that comes with the tank.
It looks badass, it gets the most out of the new subtank mini, and it's all you really need until you want to start getting into RDA's at 50+ watts. They've only been around for maybe a week now online so I'm hesitant to suggest it, but if I had money to just buy random devices, I'd definitely have it in my arsenal.

You can get a good vape out of a dripper at 40 watts
It's just not gonna be instant fat cloud puffs like you can get at higher wattages but you can definitely get thick dense vapor out of a dripper at lower wattages
But as I said before a Subtank on a lower wattage box is probably the best way to go drippers are finicky and require proper technique to use efficiently which takes time and effort to learn

it's only expensive initially. after u got the battery and tank (most expensive parts)
then you just buy the juice tinctures, $5 worth lasts me over a week
every now and then you need to replace the coils which are like $10 for a pack that lasts over a month
oh and you need a charger for the battery
i have the cheapest "good e-cig" you could probably get and it works just fine. i don't think you need a fancy one unless you specifically WANT a fancy one

Dude it's so much cheaper than smoking cigarettes once you invest in a quality device
I make my own juice and I'd say it probably costs me roughly $5 a week to vape as much as I want all day every day

I just got my new set up in yesterday (Subtank Nano and iStick 50w) and am very happy with it. I'd definitely recommend it. I got mine at MyVaporStore.

Shroomslip...Nooooo! lol
Please tell me you bought it from a vendor or B&M that accepts returns/exchanges. They are literally fucking bombs and they only last from a few weeks to a few months max.
I got mine in early-mid March and have already run into autofire issues several times. Once it auto fires, the automatic 10 second cut off doesn't work so all you can do is unscrew the atty as fast as possible before burning yourself or your house down.
Out of the 1000 or so people that post in the e-cig subreddit that have an iStick50, including myself, nearly 200 have had their mod either fail on them completely or autofire like I described. If you do plan on keeping it, at least be safe. Never leave it unattended with an atty on it, and charge it on a surface that can't catch fire. I charge mine outside on my balcony.
The other bug with it is that if you slap an atty on there and it shorts, you have no way of turning it back on until you can plug it back in the charger. Same thing happens if you put an atty on there that has a build under .2ohms.

I don't plan to build any lower than .5 ohms. Right now I'm at .6 and that's fine for me.
As for defects I'm pretty lucky generally. Almost everything I buy that people say they have screw up, just doesn't happen for me. We'll see I guess.
When I get a job I plan to upgrade the battery anyways.

It turning off because of low resistance builds is just something annoying, but not a big issue. It becomes an issue when the chip starts to read out the wrong resistances and shuts off anyways.
I love the device, but it honestly scares me. By upgrading the batteries you mean taking it apart and changing the two 18650's that are built in?

No I mean getting something more high end. This set up was something I was trying to do cheaply while still being decent. Pen vape just wasn't doing it for me anymore, I was gonna end up blowing the damn thing up because I kept it hot from overuse.

Yea, I gotcha man. Well you'll definitely enjoy the device. Hell, I'm using one right now with a Derringer RDA on it. It's vaping like a champ. I was just pointing out it has a lot of issues so that if/when they happen, you're ready for it.
I got a tip for you. Clean out the 510 connection on it at least once every couple days because when juice builds up in there it tends to autofire without even you touching the fire button. That's why I said, don't leave it unattended with an atty on it.
I feel you on the pen vape. I started out on a 650mah ego style pen and within 4 days I figured that it wasn't gonna cut it for me in terms of vapor production and flavor.

Yeah I remember, I was helping you with the ecig stuff, then I take a look in the ecig forum and you know more than I do now.. lol. I never really thought of it as a hobby or anything though. It was just a means to an end and still is. Been spoiled by nicotine now and just can't get by without it. I quit the vape, I'll go back to cigs again.
I'm used to cleaning out the connections regularly. I had to do it every charge on my pen vape. I was honestly kinda shocked when I went to refill the tank on the new setup and saw that it was bone dry. Not used to seeing that.
I underestimated how much juice a setup like this goes through though.. I'm definitely gonna have to look into making my own.
