ID Request Victoria Australia Subs
    #21739884 - 05/30/15 06:10 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Hi there.

Would be great if I could get a confirmation on what seems to be some subaeruginosa my frineds and I found and we are only new to this. They where a little old.

Habitat: Under Pine trees

Gills: The gills vary . Young caps have cream gills, then light brown to dark brown.

Stem: White, some discolouration on the old waterlogged ones.

Cap: some tan/gold brown, other very light tan colour to darker brown, young = conical, mature = convex

Spore print colour: Some purple brown in the gills, spore print in the making

Bruising: some light bruising on stem and a little on some caps

Location: Victoria West , Australia

These are the ones im suspect about, they look a little strange as they seem to be big and this conical still, some signs of bruising though.

thanks for any advice

The first ones are definitely Psilocybe Subaeruginosa, the last ones could be, but if they don't have clear blue bruising you should chuck em.

Yea got some major blue action on the caps after dehydrating them. I couldnt imagine them having that conical shape at that size though. it past all the test, even smell. didnt smell like like a gallerina. smelled like a sub to me.

thanks for the input.
