A moment of silence for a fallen hero * 1
    #21738817 - 05/29/15 09:52 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Ross Ulbricht... a revolutionary man with a good soul that empowered us all.

His sacrifice will not go unappreciated and he will not be forgotten. God bless that man and may the Machine Elves keep him safe in prison.

Fuck the government, fuck the War on Drugs, fuck the DEA, fuck that vile cunt Judge Forrest with her retarded statement saying that allowing people the free will to buy drugs is some how assaulting the social fabric... I hope this cunt burns in hell and suffers a horrible death for condemning a good man to a horrible fate of life in prison.

Fuck THIS FUCKING SYSTEM! Fuck the US Government, fuck drug laws, fuck Richard Nixon, Fuck Bush Sr and Jr, fuck Ronald Reagan and fuck that cock sucker Harry Anslinger and fuck Reefer Madness!!  FUCKKK IM PISSED

#FreeRoss

The war on drugs is a good thing in some cases. If I ever have kids no way do I want them to have full access to any drug they want when they are 18, especially the meths and heroins of this world.

Right, I know if I had kids I'd want to see them in jail for drug use.

Hell, if my kids can get slapped with life in prison over drugs I'd be so happy.

Idk dude I went to jail for things not drug related and had to go to forced rehab and it saved my life in a way. Sometimes and addict needs to be forced to stop.

Jail doesn't do that.

Forced rehab sure, but jail, no.

Jail is like criminal summer camp. The only things you learn in jail is how to be a better criminal from other criminals.

If meth was legal right now my life would be over dude cause the easy access would kill me.

We should not be encouraging drug use. I guarantee if you have crack legal it will lead to so much shit.

If pure crack cocaine was legal to purchase at a store I would easily be addicted to it by the end of the night. Some people don't have the self control.

First off silk road started with the options to buy illicit guns, and child pornography. He even tossed around ideas to hire a hit-man.  He made it so 15 yr old children could have meth shipped to their doorstep. Dude had ZERO respect for anyone but himself, created thousands of addicts, or helped them destroy themselves even more.

He deserved life in prison, hes lucky he isnt in a real country where justice is actually dealt out. Now he gets to sit on his ass all day on tax payer dollars for the rest of his life.

DOnt feel bad for him. He knew the consequences and he lost. But in a funny way, he still "Won"

But we dont, you know why? Because some lines when crossed can create a fuck ton of legal trouble for the site hosts, and because im willing to wager Ytan has a shred of morality (I think hes the shroomery "Boss")

Either way the dude was a global criminal who should be killed, and instead will be pampered in our prison system. His little "website" robbed tax payer dollars and created a host of social ills and supported some of mankind's darkest demons

Guy sounds like a scumbag if he was making people of all ages have access to drugs, guns and child pornography. That shit is disgusting and a life sentence really isn't even gonna do justice to how many lives he ruined with his actions.

I guarantee some 16 year olds heard about this at school and ordered some heroin and OD'd cause of this too. You just know it had to happen at some point.

I never said that. I vote kids shouldnt be buying any of that shit. If they want to go that route its on them. Hopefully their parents have educated them a shred. I had no problem buying drugs as a teen, gave me allot of real world experience and I got to meet interesting people  You know gosh damn well buying a sack more often than not doesnt involve walking down a dark alley to meet some random ass sketchy dude

Maybe you could teach your kids self control. Maybe use your life lessons to teach them about life. Instead of trying to have the police and judges teach your children.

Legalizing drugs makes them way easier to access.

Right now there are plenty of drugs I cannot find, the likes of PCP and LSD and all that jazz. If it were legal it would be flooded everywhere.

It sounds good in theory to legalize stuff but in reality it would be bad news bears for everyone and especially children.

The worst is people here advocating that heroin is safer then alcohol.

You can sure as fuck bet I would let my kid have a sip of my beer but I would in no way let him have a shot of heroin.

Also here is a test for you dude.

In ten minutes, see if you can get PCP and LSD.

In ten minutes, see if you can get vodka.

Let me guess, it was way easier to get the vodka. Making rarer drugs legal just makes them more available for everyone.

That's really messed up you think heroin is safer then alcohol. Give your kid heroin and make him a junkie dude that's fine but alcohol is ten million percent safer. Most people drink here and there and are fine but most people into heroin are sucking dick and lose everything. Heroin is way worse.

Alcohol kills more people per year than heroin every year.

If not triple the amount.

It's fucked up that you think alcohol is safer.

In ten minutes nobody could get anything? It's ten minutes dude? Me not being of age to buy alcohol I would have to call someone to get it. Meet pay him prolly a little for his troubles. I could call my dude and be there and back in probably 15 ( depending on if we smoke or not ) it is well documented in America that it's easier to get illegal drugs than it is to get alcohol dating back to the 90's probably early if they kept track of things like that so you can't say it's because of dark web vendors because they didn't exist then.

I have nothing better to do

Except more fentanyl.

But I don't want to catch a habit again. I've already been through opiate withdrawals, don't plan on it again.

I need my benzo's to arrive so I can switch off between my sedatives so I don't have to feel.

i think that people have the absolute right to chose what they want in their lives as far as culture/lifestyle, to an extent, whether i agree with it or not

i also think DPR overstepped if he thought anonymity applied to hits for hire. that is why he is being crucfied, that steps all over life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness on every level, but that was/is the game, high stakes, i think he was at least complicit in suggestions of offing people, how could you not feel threatend if your insanely profitable customer amazing business was a few phone calls away from your whole world crumbling on every front?

but it would make alot of sense if he was having massively high times in the background with mountains of money and drugs (tell me that dude did not do any drugs whatsoever and i will not believe you), and offing your troubelmakers was real and easy...he's the first hippie cyber drug kingpin in history that i ever heard of

i wish he wasn't going to jail personally, but i think time may change this case somehow, the whole reason we have violence related to drugs is because of money in the first place, so fucking stupid

He started an Internet drug revolution. Look at all the sites that popped up after silk road shut down. There are hundreds now.

just sucks for him big time

if a gram of herb cost $2, and everything else relatively, violence related to drugs would disappear...it might show up someplace else?

prohibition doesn't work, people all over the world die to rebel against being told what to do, we're all fucked if people try less

I can agree to an extent. But I dont think the solution to that problem is an illicit unregulated tax evasive website that sells drugs to children. Now every drug user/supporter in the world looks bad. He made it THAT much harder for progress to take place

idk children shouldn't be ordering drugs online, i blame the parents, but it's not surprising that everyone everywhere knows how to do sneaky things, technology is a moving target

Yeah it's definitely the parents faults.

Pay attention to your fucking kids if you want to keep them off drugs.

What do we mean by children? I don't think 10 year old were buying heroin online and no I would not support that, but 16 year olds are not kids anymore and I don't think anyone here is condoning the use of heroin or meth anyways, but LSD on the dark web was a great thing because of the ratings system, at least they weren't getting RC's sold as acid so they take 4 tabs and seize

He started an Internet drug revolution. Look at all the sites that popped up after silk road shut down. There are hundreds now.

Yeah I would like to thank him for telling the world about drugs in the mail. Brought a bunch of extra heat to the mail system, but hey now there are 20 new scam sites, hooray!
I wish this asshole never existed and I could have the safety of drugs in the mail circa 1999. Back when people didn't need reddit it was word of mouth and there was never any heat. Ross changed nothing for better.

I think buying drugs from silk road is awesome and freedom and honorable.

I think the trying to hire murderers to kill people totally erases any sympathy I have for him.    I personally am glad he has life in prison.  IDGAF paying money to end people's lives is bad times, he could be the space pope of the one true religion and i still wouldn't discount trying to pay for murder.

We should not be encouraging drug use. I guarantee if you have crack legal it will lead to so much shit.

If pure crack cocaine was legal to purchase at a store I would easily be addicted to it by the end of the night. Some people don't have the self control.

Best reason to legalize drugs ever if you ask me

The war on drugs is a good thing in some cases. If I ever have kids no way do I want them to have full access to any drug they want when they are 18, especially the meths and heroins of this world.

Right, I know if I had kids I'd want to see them in jail for drug use.

Hell, if my kids can get slapped with life in prison over drugs I'd be so happy.

I don't think kids or addicts need to go to jail for drugs. I think we need to have real scientifically backed education about drugs. We need to tell kids to stay away from heroin, coke, and meth and hard drugs and dangerous designer drugs of the sort. We need to properly tell kids that cannabis, psychedelics, and MDMA have rewarding effects and should be treated like alcohol. Really MDMA is safer then alcohol for fucks sake.  Alcohol has 2.5 million deaths and mdma has 2

Also here is a test for you dude.

In ten minutes, see if you can get PCP and LSD.

In ten minutes, see if you can get vodka.

Let me guess, it was way easier to get the vodka. Making rarer drugs legal just makes them more available for everyone.

And what exactly is wrong with LSD? Is a psychedelic drug? Pretty much the most harmless class of drugs. If my kid wanted to sip alcohol I'll tell him "no don't use this shit it kills 2.5 million people every year. Put this on your tongue it opens your mind".

I have no problem letting my kid have a sip of my beer, but would never give him LSD.

That is what you call a hypocrite. Look at our colleges. They aren't even intellectual institutions anymore. Using alcohol as a way to get completely fucked up out of this world is a core part of the culture on every major college campus in the US. The alcohol lobby spends a ton of money convincing us that our liquid pastime is "safe and responsible" while drugs ruin the world.

I personally would rather live in a society that uses psychedelics responsibly in conjunction with "becoming of age" and it was normal to give young teenage kids a real psychedelic experience. Teach them young what shamanism is all about. Fact is, psychedelics and drug use is so taboo it scares the shit out of people. So many bullshit "what if's" and stories about people going crazy on psychedelics. I personally blame the current society for this, not the drugs themselves.

And for real... all the people claiming you have no self control so drugs being illegal is a good. That matters not one bit to me, because I personally do have self control. So your lack of willpower lands me a chance in jail when I have no desire to use crack, cocaine, meth, heroin, or any of the other demonized substances here. To say "I have no self control so this stuff should be illegal!" is perhaps the most illogical argument I have read in this forum.
