This type of thought process drives me nuts. The government has brainwashed everyone into thinking all big corporations are evil, and gets everyone on their side when they want to impose more and more taxes and regulations on them. This way the big companies will be seen as knocked down closer and closer to the level of the consumer. That'll teach em.
All those rich assholes on their expensive yachts will be just like me now. Nope. These "Greedy capitalist fucks" produce all the jobs, and when they get hit with more taxes it doesn't do the average joe any good at all. In fact it hurts because the money lost will be recouped from laying off workers and higher prices. Nobody's going to be selling their yacht or doing anything that would effect their lifestyle, but will be passing all losses on to the little guys. More taxes on the rich hurts the poor, but the exact opposite is what's being propagated.

Thoughts?
Sounds like a wonderful idea, but the fact it went into law makes me wonder the true nature of the beast. I don't follow how the government in France runs their business, but I think they all pretty much run the same. I would imagine you wouldn't have to dig real deep to find connections with those who put this law into action with companies that have contracts to do the work needed for these new companies. Think of how much money will be made now that it is mandatory for companies to do this. I don't really see the harm in any of this, but you have to suspect there will/has been some cronyism involved when they put something like this into law.

Fusion sounds appealing, but the technical complexity is so vast (and so much larger than with any fission design) that I doubt it's a realistic option. Plus, there's a lot of room for improvement in fission topologies which is much easier to realize than fusion, so fusion may just be a tantalizing opportunity but simply inferior in terms of economic and technical feasibility to fission. Still, I'm curious as to what the ITER project is yielding in terms of challenges, solutions and results.

It's not the governments place. I want a small government, not one telling me I have to put a fucking garden on my roof if I start a business.

although current i would agree that fission plants are one of the better sources of wide spread power next to hydro electeric i'm talking the future future
brauh its closer to being a realistic option every day, check out dis lab. the uk is on dat shit

DEMO
Once the scientific and engineering systems have been tested on ITER, the next stage will be to build a demonstration fusion power plant integrating the results. Designs are already advanced for this prototype machine, known as ‘DEMO'.
DEMO will produce two gigawatts of electrical power to the grid, a similar output . to a standard electrical power plant, and could be online in the 2040s. If successful, it will lead to the first generation of commercial fusion power stations

I got in a huge fight with a guy on facebook about this a few weeks back. He thought that FRance was fucking saving the world or something. I say its a frivolous waste of money to mandate that a new business should have to install expensive components onto thier roof which is like one of the most critical part of a commercial building to maintain. What an economy booster good job France! Roof garden

If you actually look into it you'll see that installing a roof garden does literally fucking nothing at all except that you have to pay engineers to design it and then once there its nothing but a fucking giant money pit that you have to now pay someone to maintain. If you install solar panels you might see a return toward the end of the roofs lifetime if none of the break or bullshit...maybe. Fortunatly they didnt pass the orginal bill that the enviromental activists were pushing for which was absolutely ludacris so i think if you jus have like one solar panel or a couple plants your fine.

Oh no NOT FREEDOM. NOBODY CAN TAKE AMERICANS FREEDOMS.
While france is passing laws to make the world a better place texas recently got even closer to passing open carry laws.
Solar Panels are great. I dunno how much you can get from a commercial building but on houses you can MAKE money by putting juice in the grid.
Pretty pathetic that people are crying about something that is in a different country and has to do with cooperate building and businessmen and in the end is doing the right thing and saving the planet. But oh no anything that even makes the tiniest bit of possiblity that an americans freedom is infringed must be taken out with full military operations and wars
