I've got more than that in fruiting at all times ;-)
I tend to do 12 jars at a time, then as my 971 holds 6 full spawn bags, I do 6 bags at a time, and split my tub mixing up into 2 days for 12 tubs at a time. Always keep the next project coming, and you'll be working all week

I have FINALLY written up a couple teks as to how SHP has done things in the past. DISCLAIMER: This is not for the newbie to mycology, and not going to work for everyone! This is simply what works for one person when other teks and methods have failed miserably! ~~~~~How SHP does their unconventional WBS Prep!! (NO DRY METHOD)~~~~ ~~~~~SHP's highly disputed method of doing ALL their work outside of a flow hood or a Still air box!~~~~~ ~~~~~Troubles harvesting the side and bottom pins in your mono? Greetings humans
Sorry for lack of pictures. But there's not much to show
Brf cakes are healthy And I have already begun sterilizing my grains(WBS)
With a 10lb bag of seed I got 12 quart jars worth I decided to make 3 of them G2G jars
HOWEVER When I was pcing the first batch of jars my weight did not jiggle and most of the steam was exiting out of the base of the regulator. The weight DID shake but not often. I continued to pc at the first sign of a minor jingle and I waited for pressure to go down
AFTER Some cool down time I shook the jars and stored them in a regular tote to continue pcing But this time I had tightend the piece under the lid which was the cause of so much steam exiting under the weight rather then pushing the weight around
I've read that you can pc grains as much as you want Or at least twice in my case... This next batch the weight is rocking gently at 15psi so I feel better about this batch. The first batch was almost 2+ hours
If anyone thinks it is a bad idea to pc these grains Let another human know

However. Many of you make me question my work I will heed your warnings and order a pack of petri agar dishes
Pics coming soon
The thing you gotta watch out for on the shroomery is the advice you're getting is generally from perfectionists. Which is great! Because perfection should be everyone's goal. But once you have your LC made waiting on a brf cake to finish an entire cycle is kind of pointless. It's either going to contam, or it isn't. If it does you'd have to throw away all the LC anyway so the only thing your really wasting is the WBS you inoculated, which is cheap so who cares? Then if it doesn't contaminate you've got a brf cake you can slurry to start a second round right around the time your first bulk is reaching full colonization. Fruiting in layers (I.E. a new round every week) is the best way to ensure a contamination won't set you back too much. I use LCs all the time and have still never figured out why they get such a bad rep. The need the same autoclaved and still air conditions as anything else and if that's present you won't contam. It's faster then starting from spores and easier to get way more bulk. Agar is fantastic too! I mean really fantastic, you'll have so much fun and it has all the same advantages of LC plus you get to see contams wayyyy earlier. Have fun with it, go balls to the wall with it, have a blast and post some pin porn for us soon!

So while I was inoculating the WBS jars some polyfill fell through but I still used my culture without noticing it until I was shaking it.. Also the polyfill was damp. My guess is from the pressure cooking
Any suggestions?

Two on the left are not usable? They look strange...
One on the right is my idea of a good looking LC perhaps not contam free. But better looking

Behold! A few days after inoculation

All 21 jars are showing signs of growth similar to these with my g2g jars I plan to multiply the grow. I plan to shake the hell out of the jars around 30-40% colonization
Now that I'm closer to the tub I've been thinking about my substrate I want to use coir, hpoo, coffee grinds, gypsum but I am an idiot when it comes to ratios
Anyone want to chime in with their recipe? Also I plan to use whole grain horse oats instead of WBS I read a good article on them at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21121313#21121313
