Depressed about giving up my apartment

I've had a bachelor pad for about 2 years of my life to facilitate my attendance at a nearby University. In this time, I really came to smoke weed here- it became to feel like a sanctuary to me. By comparison to other apartments in the area mine was the most similar to a house, with many different rooms to be explored. Quite often I would assemble my friends on the floor of my carpeted living room and we would pass joints around, while talking over an obscure 8tracks playlist.
However, my landlord told me yesterday that I need to move out by Saturday morning. I found this shocking because I had thought that I would have the apartment for a few more months until September. (I'm moving into an apartment with my sister, so I have to give this one up- I just had no idea he would want to make the switch so soon.)
In sum, I feel pretty down about this. The place really feels like mine, I've never lived away from home before, nor have I had my 'own' place. Leaving seems so stark, I just wish I had some more time here.
Have any of you gone through similar scenarios? If so how did you cope?

Do you have a lease? Are you good on rent?
They cant just give you a week without a court order or unless your lease is up

30 day notice if after the end of the lease, it goes month to month.
also don't lament the change, just be inspired to bring the good vibes to your next space

No response yet so means he might have some sketchy landlord situation or a month to month lease with no term.

Doesn't matter. The law is the law. I've dealt with slumlords before. You might have to get the law involved and use threats . I'm either a great tenet or your worse one If you are scummy .
Let me put it this way . A slum Lord in Chicago tried to rip me off. Different name on lease all that shit. I showed up with a couple of friends at dinner time to his personal house. I had a letter from a lawyers office (wasn't written by a lawyer but had letter head ext). That said legally he owed me over 3k(he would have to pay legal fees. I also had other shit on him) due to illegally keeping my deposit. I gave him 48 hours to give me my money or I sue and I'll win. I met one. Of his "employees" In front of the bank and got my money the next night at 9pm in front of my bank. I made them stand there while I deposited it into the atm and it went through.
