I actually did live there for three months before I bought my house, it was nice, it was "cozy"
My dream is actually to retire and buy a "small" RV, and just drive around in my little house.
Good luck to you!
No need to wait until you retire, put your stuff in storage, rent your house out and get on the road.
Seriously check out r/vandwelling on Reddit if you aren't on to it already. It's a nice community and resource if your interested in living out of a van/RV.
And OP check out r/tinyhouses on Reddit if you are seriously interested in living out of a shed!

You have a shed? Yoooouuuuu'rrrree LUCKLY! We used to live in a cardboard box down by the lake and our old man would wake us up a half hour before we went to bed to clean the lake with our toothbrushes!

We used to walk 5 miles to school and back in bare feet in the snow, then 5 miles back while carrying a 5 gallon bucket of water with no lid and got a beating for each drop missing.

Not a shed, but these things are pretty cool, even though they are expensive. http://www.ecocapsule.sk/

tiny homes usually range between 100-400 sq ft, that's a big shed.

You would need to insulate it first of all. I would start by stapling tyvek all around the outside, and covering it in siding. Then on the inside cover your walls in R Board insulation, and because it will look nice and smell good cover that in cedar planks or finished and stained pallet wood. Then you need to work on your ceiling insulation, just R board it and cover it with what you can afford. Next the floor, you cant have a draft sucking all your heat out from under you so you want some carpet pads and carpets, make that shit double thick for softness. Now for heat you could build yourself a 55 gallon drum wood furnace. Or buy a wood stove.

Buy a toilet, put it in there and just line it with plastic bags, and pour some bleach in it. Poop and pee in it for a few days and take it out and dump it.
You will need to live on canned and dry goods, no need for electricity because if you can afford to have electric service brought in you can afford a house.
I have a plan to move to Mississippi, right north of lake grenada there is land for sale for 1600 per acre, this land is heavily forested with very very tall pine trees that are the perfect size for building a log cabin, which is what im going to do. There is a plethora of information online about building and maintaining a log cabin.

Yes, I'm a shed-dweller by nature. I have lived in 3 different sheds throughout the years. It's superb. All you really need, is a stereo, table/desk, computer/laptop, schoolchair (I stole mine from a nearby elementary school), beanbag, and maybe a TV/stand, and obviously electricity, oh and space heater and fan. Black lights too, preferably with posters/tapestries.
And a bunny
