Humans are insane.

If madness is to believe in something that doesn't exist and everything we know is a creation of the human psyche..then that makes the human species mad. In fact since we are the only animal that experiences insanity which is a mere creation of the mind which means insanity itself is insane..ya dig?

what about that mold that hijacks ants brains and makes them climb up high so they'll be eaten?
or the catbox disease, toxoplasmosi gondii or something like that, changes peoples behavior, makes mice crave the smell of cat piss

sounds like you found out one of the many stupid consequences of mechanistic beliefs.
Those people believe consciousness is an illusion. But illusion is a form of consciousness... Therefore the statement is self contradictory.

I know there are mentally disabled dogs and stuff, it seems plausible to believe they might be insane... i think we may to some extent choose our madness to make sense out of a crazy, awesome, and unpredictable world. ..

This thread is made for me.
Einstein says insanity is repeating the same task over and over and expecting different results.
we all do this and yes we are all insane just make sure you're sane enough to know it.
people who don't think they are crazy worry me.

The problem is people expect something else, someone else, some other entity besides themselves, to fix their own problems. You can't expect some God to fix all your problems, or to see you out of the billions and help you instead of others. It's non logical. And it's simple logic.
Jesus didn't save me, I saved my fucking self. I believe in the spirit world's and other entities because of the experiences I've had with them, with and without psychedelics, but I do not believe in one all creating God that watches over humanity and, I don't believe that, even if there is one, that he or she would influence our miniscule world.
I had many problems and could be considered bipolar, super over emotional, and afflicted with attached negative spiritual entities. God or Jesus didn't come to the rescue, I took action and came to realization with other people's guidance, and fixed myself over time. I fixed my own fucking problems. Now? I have my peace of mind, I'mcalm and relaxed, logical, spiritual, and sane. No more aattachments. This attachment I speak of is within my family from an unknown source.
We are a speck of a speck in this universe, the size and scale of an atom. For people to think humans are so deserving and divine, so important that the all creating God would actually be obsessed and involved in this world is fucking stupid, in my opinion.

Have you ever seen those old pictures of regular-type people from the 1800's, and the like? They all look absolutely tormented. It's easy for humans to forget and want and need to forget about just how emotionally and physically violent our history has been. I mean pure torture and guts and gore and pestilent death, starvation, rape. The planet needs some consistent and comprehensive psychoactive therapy to heal itself from its deep, self-inflicted, still pulsing with suffering, wounds. It's probably the number one leading reason why lots of people struggle so much with happiness. It's like you have to pay a huge price for it because our accumulated collective suffering drags us right down in the miserable dirt because of how much our flawed approach to having happiness makes us deny reality to the point of existential struggle. Denying reality is a no go if you want to be happy.
On the other hand, even happy people are their own special kind of insane. It only makes sense — there's no preconceived model for what we do, live. We humans broke the damn mold, really. We're literally making this shit up as we go. But that's the most enlightened, perfect concept to embrace and actually use for our own well-being. We fear what's happened to us before happening to us again, and what we imagine as even worse, but this moment has never existed before and we can learn to do anything we want with our choices, with the way we rearrange the way we live our life, and actually observe different results, because we did something different. It's like accepting something different, and even better, into your life by just taking responsibility for making a different choice.
--------------------
If I should die this very moment I wouldn't fear For I've never known completeness Like being here Wrapped in the warmth of you Loving every breath of you

The California/Nevada drought is an example of human insanity. The fact that it is an engineered event escapes 99.9% of the population, even though there is evidence of this, IF one knows where and how to look. But aside from that reality, and even assuming the water tap were turned on by the same folks that turned it off (they won't), the water is going to run out soon. As in a year? type soon.
So what does CA do in the midst of this crisis? They are in such denial, they actually INCREASE water usage. What, we worry? Aren't they building a desalinization plant?
Real estate in the soon to be out of water state continues up and up in the same kind of surreal denial. It's mass denial and mass insanity.
Honestly though, if anyone deserves a good dose of reality, it is the conservative creationists in Orange County that would be a great place to start. The ones that run their sprinklers every night and wash their cars every weekend and fill their big pools in the backs and deny that there is a water crisis.

Excellent points, LE. Yeah, my mom works for the Bureau of Reclamation, Colorado Plateau region. She was telling me that officially, the Colorado River basin will be in shortage in 2016. What that means is that the water rights everyone has will not be backed by enough water, which is essentially a crisis. Who gives up their water? They own the rights. Major problem, for everybody. And Lake Powell in Utah is something like 40% of capacity. There is a danger that the Glen Canyon dam may not be able to operate anymore -- soon. Goodbye power in Phoenix and LA.
The insane part is that nobody is talking about this, or even knows about it. Huge fucking crisis in the backyard.

companies have been buying up water rights for a long time knowing the increasing value of an ever more depleted resource. its those of us with nothing to gain and much to lose that have issues seeing reality properly.

Interesting that just a couple of days ago Herr Obama announced that the Feds own every body of water, even big puddles, ha ha.
Lake Mead dropped nearly 10 feet for reasons unknown (sensor acting up? LOL!) over a two day period, then raised as they filled it back up to a point higher than before the earthquake over the next couple of days. Filled by water from Lake Powell while they reduced the discharges from Lake Mead. So where did all that water go from Lake Mead??? Nobody "knows" or "they ain't talkin'".
But as to the water crisis, it's reached the tipping point and beyond but hasn't quite affected the "average" person all that much. Farmers without water rights have been screwed and will continue to be. Ground water is an option to some but that aquifers are literally dropping 100 ft. a year in some places!!! So, farmers pay big $$$ to drill yet deeper wells in order to even operate. That water is not going to come back for generations.
Things are going to get interesting...

Look what I am saying is that we are all living in delusion. Everything we go by is socially constructed therefore doesn't really exist. We destroy the planet without thinking twice about it. If this isn't insanity then I don't know what is. When it comes to spirituality I don't think god has ever spoken to us but is within us. God is our subconscious it is our inner goodness, love, and peace. I believe that is the sanity and rationality within us. If everyone found the inner god then all the problems in the world would be gone, but as if now we are all insane.

Your "inner god" isn't going to do Jack Shit when the water runs out. I just love how people can't even focus on one issue, probably the most important issue of all, and now and future critical resource, according to those in "The Know".
Water Is Life.
