Possible cobweb on birthing cakes?
    #21731685 - 05/28/15 08:47 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Hey everybody! So this is my first grow BY MYSELF. I HAVE grown with the friend who supplied me all my supplies and syringe. I dont know the exact strain, all I know is its Brazilian. I inoculated 3 jars before going on a month trip to Virginia. I come back and 2 are infected and 1 is good and even had some 2 inch fruits growing already, which my friend said to remove, which I did and I ate them 30 mins after and was feeling really good. But anyways back to the topic. The jar that was ok DID get infected with the green stuff the other 2 had. But theirs was more yellow. I applied hydrogen peroxide twice on the infected area (on the good jar) and it appeared to get better so I dunked it for 24 hours but DID NOT roll in verm because I ran out and my friend told me it isn't necessary and can damage the mycelium. So this morning I check on the cake and their is a little puffy cotton ball thing on one side. It hasnt spread so I am going to be keeping an eye on it. But is there anything I can do? I read on other posts that I can just spray a diluted 20:1 mix of water and hydrogen peroxide directly onto the entire cake to sterilize it. Or should I go with my original q-tip and peroxide on the single possible infection like I did with the hreen spot originally? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps!
Im sorry if I posted this in the wrong area, for years I have used this site and have yet been able to fully work it in my benefit.

It's not cobweb.. why are you using verm and not perlite? What's your fruiting chamber?

They're both dry and needing fae. I think you need to work on your fruiting conditions.
