should i cut slow growing pins off?
    #21731544 - 05/28/15 07:59 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Today marks day 4 since ive seen actual mushroom heads and im having good growth. One fat one is pretty large and about an inch long then about 5-6 are not as fat and half an inch long then theres a bunch of super small pins (with brown caps) that havemt seem to been growing like the others have. 3 of them also have sliny caps (whats this?)

Should i cut these off to allow the bigger shrooms more water/food or leave it be?

I would leave them and continue to mist and fan as much as possible. They're BRF cakes yes?

If the pins are not aborted, leave them. You never know how big those suckers will get! I have been shocked at how quickly mushrooms can change size. For example my last mono tub was recently harvested. The day before harvest I had about 65% ground cover of mushrooms, no where near a full canopy and lots of empty space. The next day (16 hours later) the tub looked to be of 90% full canopy. I would say the mushrooms did over half of their overall growing in one day.
