recovery from shake?
    #21731432 - 05/28/15 07:12 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Hey guys, just a quick question. I have 8 quart jars currently, 4 gt 4 berm. I shook all 8 when they were around 30-40% colonized. The gt's are nearing 100% after a week of the day I shook, the berm which I shook 2-3 days later have shown no sign of additional colonization. It's like I stalled them. It's been 4-5 days without anything and they were growing fine before shaking. Am I being impatient or does shaking certain sub species cause more harm than good?

there was probably something nasty growing along the cube myc in the jars that wont recolonize after a shake.

Yup. Just be glad you didn't do a big mono with them. Your jars should heal fast from a shake if they are healthy.

I'll post some pics later, the been was colonizing much slower than the gt to begin with. I paid close attention and didn't notice anything in the sub during the shake but the been sub is more moist than the gt sub
