I need to give some credit where credit is due. It was a combination of karode, and ferrel's info I was merging in my head there. So thanks to both of you.
I actually just pulled the plastic off my second attempts at grafting and they seem to have stuck, so now I will be egarly waiting for them to plump up and confirm that they are actually taken to the stock.
Anyway, karode, just to clarify, when you use the plastic wrap method, once you pull the plastic, you don't have any other humidity you put them in right? Just pull the plastic after a few days and let it hang out in ambient humidity, right?

Seems like he said when you place the graft on, you put the saran wrap over it and fold it down to hold graft, but when you remove it humidity isn't really needed at that point.
Close enough. Humidity tents aren't needed at all when you use cling film. Leave the film on for several days and then remove. By this time the graft has taken well enough and should be showing some callusing where the graft union is. I slowly introduce the new grafts to stronger light over a week, just to stop any shock from happening.
Do you have a pic of one of your grafts you've done this way. I wanna give it a shot but I work best from sight.

I didn't take any pics of mine for some reason but here is a pic of karode's showing the method. It's pretty basic and straightforward.

Just place scion on top as you normally would, then form a piece of plastic wrap on a sharpie or something, like this:

Then place it on the graft. It acts in two ways at once. First, it holds it's own humidity. Second, it keeps pressure on the graft to help it hold.
Karode says he pulls the plastic down and maybe preses against the peres spines to hold everything in place but I did that in addition to placing a clothespin around the wrap on the peres (as suggested by ferrel) to keep extra pressure... Just picture the first image with a clothespin around the lower area of the plasic wrap grabbing the plastic and peres

I think I skipped a bunch of questions that a couple people asked me in this thread. Post it again if I missed yours and I'll get ya. I think cRM asked one.
Sorry don't feel like looking through all the posts. I'm uploading some more pics I took today of some other shit.

Here's a pic of my last Moringa tree I grew this year. I planted one in the ground that was doing really well but I dropped a pot on it and it broke in half so I guess I'll replace it with this one and hope for the best.
This I took a pic of for my kactus buddy. I figure you'd like it I also have about 30 of these planted on the side of my storm house;)
I thought I'd through in a few of my wood pics. I took these at the edge of my yard looking into my woods with my shitty ass phone.

I love this one and the paw paws at the bottom

Are you sure they aren't the common snapping turtles?
Alligator snapping turtles are extremely rare, and endangered in our area man,and I've never found one in all my years hunting and collecting reptiles.
That being said,it's a federal offense to make soup with them any way because they are endangered.

Yeah, and I demand a pic next time you find one
I've been hunting reptiles for close to 30 years, and they have always been on my list of reptiles to catch!
They are just so rare up here it would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
where do you normally find yours?

Status in Tennessee: The Alligator Snapping Turtle is listed as “In Need of Management” by TWRA, and considered rare to very rare and imperiled by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Populations were severely reduced in the past due to unregulated harvesting and habitat loss.

In my uncles 2 ponds. There are tons down there. Whenever I go back out there I'll snap a pic of one. You can tell a difference between and alligator and a regular snapping turtle easily and there are plenty. He lets Mexicans come down and catch them and the regular snappers to take home for soup every year.

Wow,so,it seems like, you have a nice population down there
I'm not saying you didn't know the difference but most people don't,and I just was making sure.
Most everybody around here calls the common snapping turtle an alligator snapper, and the two aren't even related species believe it or not.
Even though your uncle owns the pond they are in,it's still against the law to kill them because they are almost wiped out to extinction.
Just letting you know buddy
