Ok. Well I start by saying thanks to all the posts I read in the past. No way could of got where I am now wit out them. But now I have to ask a question. So I have been getting mushrooms off my tek cakes and they are beautiful and potent. Really amazing seeing how its my first time growing. But now im a little lost. See everything seems to be great and doing everything and more I need to but I still only get one or two mushrooms at a time. So heres my question. Why are my tek cakes only producing one-three mushrooms at a time?

Could be a number of things - contamination, not enough colonization time, genetics.. Pics would be needed to better determine the cause

Ok. New to this site as a member. Let me see how to get some pics up. I dont think contamination. I cant see no visable. But Im not sure if it could be inside. But theses cakes have been producing for the last month and have done over 3 flushes per cake.

I got some cakes almost done with ccolonization. I was thinking of when there 100 percent done to leave them in the jar a addition 3 days and also give them 4-12 hours of indirect sunlight. To shock the mycelium into pinning stage. You think that could help?

Consolidate for 1 week and then dunk, roll and fruit.

That could help. I would look at your fruiting chamber first to be sure you have the humidity and fae you need to trigger pinning. Tell us about your fc.

FC* poorman set up with some of perlite and some of hydrotons then putin a bigger chamber with a heat source heating the bottom so that the water will evaporate and create humility. all with holes n the side and the top got the top with a filter to keep contaminants out. and i open and fan over three times to give fae to the cakes.

A fruiting area does not need to be sterile. All you need is a properly built SGFC. A SGFC is cheaper and more efficient than all of those bubblers and other pointless gadgets that noobs like to use to create humidity.

so basically i need to put moist perlite in the bottom and put the cakes directly in the chamber. no matter if i only have 4-6 cakes at a time its a really big chamber like a foot and half by a foot but a foot tall. would that be better

Mushrooms benifit from indirect and direct light of 6500K on a schedule, almost needs the light to grow.
And sure you can do any size FC you want as long as it has moist perlite a few inches deep and holes in all 6 sides. SGFC style.

Follow a SGFC tek to the T and you might expect bigger yields
More jars the merrier
