Lysergic acid amides can cause muscle cramps. People with back problems sometimes complain about this side effect

LSD that causes muscle cramps is not "bad acid" its real acid. Thats a side effects that some people get with LSD. Good acid is offten a very closly realated molecule called ALD. ALD produces the same mental effects as LSD but in most people is less overtly stimulating and less likly to cause muscle cramp issues.
One exception is of the LSD cause bad muscle cramps, particualy in the legs. This is very rare and is proably really crappy made acid that has unusually high amounts of Ergotamine in it. Most acid has no to only trace levels of ergotamine in it

Krinklebein, you sound like a high school student. Frist LSD can be detected in piss test. Its just not tested for in the common ones. LSD does not collect on or in the spine or cause your eyes to bleed etc.
You need to stop believing everything some dumb ass stonner tells you about drugs when your at a party, wasted and it 3 am.

krinklebein, there is no strycnine in acid, it is a story that has been passed down over and over and over again, it all started when in the UK some bad drug dealers sold some people strycnine as powder acid, therfore there was no acid in it, one of these people died while the other just got sick, maybe next time you should do a little research before trying to spread ignorance. \
Also, the reason your back (and other muscles) get sore is because hallucinogens make your muscles tense up, even involuntary muscles, those involuntary muscles arent used to being worked out, so the pain is the same thing as working out really hard the day before, and your sore the next day, nothing to worry about, try to relax a little, if you sit and think about it while tripping you will catch yourself grinding your teeth really hard and tensing your whole body.

the half life of lsd in blood plasma is 2 hours, so i suppose if you were dumb enough to take acid immidiatly before a drug test, they could theoretically find it in your urine, but i garuntee itd be gone before 24 hours. who takes acid right before a drug test? they deserve to be caught.

jslice, just for informations sake, acid would have no such thing as a half life. a half-life is a chemistry term having to do with radioactive elements. if im not mistaken lsd is not a radioactive compound, so therefore would have no half life.

Like others have said this is a result of muscle tension caused by normal acid. I've experienced tension in my calf muscles, lower back, and neck during and after taking LSD. If your muscles are tense for 12+ hours your body will ache the next day, maybe longer.
The best thing you can do is stretch before, during, and after. Also make sure you aren't sitting in any tweaked positions =)

A half life is also pharmacology term. It has to do with how long the drug remains in the blood stream. All drugs have a half life. Half life definition from one of my pharmacology texts- The period of time required for the concentration or amount of a drug in the body to be reduced to exactly 1/2 of a given consentration or amount.
