Need major help, signs of mold (fuzziness) on cakes in FC

The cakes are in a perlite FC and there is one cake that is coming along well and sprouting fruits.
The problem is that the three new ones that were put in about three days ago are slowly developing a slight fuzz over the past few days, and thisis after a cake had to be thrown away because it was just becoming a mold marshmallow.
I'm not sure if there is anyway to save the cakes, they are just now starting to show "fuzzy" signs, and the vermiculite that they were dunked in is still visible. Would sterilizing the FC and putting in new perlite help at all?
Also the spray bottle that has been used has not been getting fresh water, in fact it's been the fame water basically the whole time (for the last two weeks) if that matters. Any help is greatly appreciated. Save the cakes!

sounds like they need more fresh air but a picture is worth a thousand words. take a pic of the growing area too. are they in a closet or something?
at the top of the screen, click "Pics" (it's below your "Welcome username"). upload a pic there.
it's impossible to sterilize a fruiting chamber. even if you could, it wouldn't help because mushrooms need fresh air and fresh air is not sterile.

cobweb on cakes gets misdiagnosed easily 90% of the time. don't go spraying your cakes with mycelium poison until you post some pictures.
besides that, personally, if I had cobweb on some cakes I would throw them out and fix what I did wrong before ever going out and buying some peroxide. peroxide is useless in mushroom cultivation because if you get cobweb, fix the root rather than salvage a turd. h2o2 is not a turd polisher.

you can clean a fruiting chamber, but it's really pointless to try to sanitize it. you should see what clean looks like under a microscope. besides that you can and should pick cakes up with your hands, when necessary, so I wouldn't be worried about a plastic box.
