They grow fine at sea level too. Get novo because e coca is too hard to grow.

I would think there had to be a slight difference in potency or quality between the 2 types? At the end of the day they both contain cocaine right?

Correct. I hear many growers in s America are switching to e novo because its easier to grow and yields just as much.

From the youtube videos I've seen, a coca plant grown in about 8 months minimum to a year? Is this about right?

I have to put it outside soon to get the bees to do what's natural.

If every flower was pollinated I would be rolling with over a hundred of berries.  :awesomenod:

BTW: I'm in Canada.

Grown from seed or cutting?

Yea man, novos ftw for the adaptive nature. E coca is a bit of a bitch, but I've had them grow as a house plant just fine. Novo also does clone much easier as well.

I'm not quite sure what you guys mean by "clones". I've planted plants before and usually 1 seed will yield 1 plant, not sure what would happen if I dump a hundred seeds in the soil would it grow a hundred plants? Also, is the coca plant able to grow back leaves after you've used the leaves or not?

Clones like the same concept as marijuana clones. Same principle. You cut off a decent growth shoot, and you force it to root, making two plants.

As far as growing from a hundred seeds, I don't see why not ,so long as they are still viable. coca seeds don't survive long, they need to be planted ASAP.

And yes the leaves do grow back, I personally haven't stripped one down to nothing,  but I have seen many people native to that plant completely pluck it to a bush of twigs. Not sure how long it would take to recover from that, but that's probably they plant as much as they do, among other reasons.

They say the main way of propagation of Erythroxylum coca is through cloning. And the reverse is said for novogranatense. Only through seed cause its self pollinatimg.

Actually that's the Amazonian ipadu strain, that's a clone only. Novo are the easiest to clone ,and E coco being the hardest.

E novo is not easy to clone but it can be done.

fogponics cloners are easy to build, and if something WILL clone, then a fogponics cloner will make it a no brainer.

If you have a bad fungus lurking then it will fail. Sterilize all you want but the fungus gets in.

you can run a fogponics cloner inside a tub like a still air box, with polyfil holes.

I have a clone room for mj that's always stuffed with plants, and always humid. The best way to clone novo is to keep it in water for a few days till stem becomes tender and start shooting, then I stick it into the clone room. When the little string like new shoots start to grow, you've rooted it.
