First time grower looking for some help - thanks

Hello,
First time grower here,
wanted to show you guys a few pics - hopefully at least some of these jars are going well. I feel that at least one of these is def contaminated... though not sure
I used the stove method. I wanted to know, can mycelium overcome initial contaminations? i know the general rule is to get ride of them right away, but is it possible? Will peroxide do anything in this regard?
Thanks in advance for any insight

Third pic for sure garbage. The others look ok but wait for multiples opinions. As for mycelium over coming or growing over contam I have heard of it but I've never experienced it. And never with of tek jars.

Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

If you have a dry verm layer the tin foil will not allow moisture to escape thus rendering it useless i cant tell if those are brf cakes or grain but if its brf and has a dry verm layer take the foil off and leave it off

3rd and 5th are contaminated. Third is green (I'm guessing trich, hard to see) and 5th is black mold on bottom left

5th is garbage, i dont see the green in the third but if you do... throw it ...
i'd buy a pc with a guage or a regulator.
you'll be glad you did.
even a small one and you'll have more fun.
thrift stores and ebay.

Ah i didnt catch that nice eye mad season and rxb but still op you really should take the foil off if your still worried about contams use micropore or paper tape as the generic brands are called

the jars are from midwest grow kits... the ultimate kit
they have
• Natural Organic Brown Rice Flour • Vermiculite • Mineral Water • Liquid worm castings • Bee Pollen
The instructs say to open the jars every few days for air flow... should i take the foil off?
If a jar becomes contaminated and the foil is off will that matter?
They are in a closed bin
pc with a gauge or regulation - pressure cooker - how would I use that in this instance?
Thx

well if you had one... you would have made your own jars, they would have been sterile...and they wouldnt have gone to shit
so in this exact CASE, it doesnt help, but if you had a pc then you would have used an(easier)other method

well if i had premade jars,
could i have still used a pc?
Ill have to look into the pc some more, haven't learned about that at all.
Say I didn't notice a contamination and tried to get a flush with other good cakes,
could that cause a problem...how likely ?

The dry verm layer if there is one will keep contams at bay the foil will make the dry verm layer not so dry and this becomes a breeding ground for baddie. Either way the foil is not good go buy some micropore tape or trash your contaminated jars go buy some verm and brf like $15 max and make your own jars following the pf tek too a T.

yes, if you buy premade jars from out-grow... you'll get a VERY nice jar which has an injection port...
and if you contaminate the jar its just because you didnt flame the syringe.

those are boss!

Also if your doing brf you can sterilize in a pot with about an inch of boiling water just dont let the glass touch the bottom of the pan put a washcloth at the bottom or jar lid rings or somthing i actually use a vegtable steamer and the only jar ive got contamned was one i reinnoculated two weeks down the road this only works for brf/drf cakes though

I did flame the syringe.. could it be the over method I used rather than the glove box?
I had trouble getting the right amount into each jar, I overshot a few quite a bit,,, I read that the sides may colonize too fast leaving the center open for contamination...
I don't understand the micropore tape part - how is covering it with that tape better than foil? or do you mean on just the one I think may be contaminated, wouldn't that be risky?

putting foil on the jar doesnt SEAL It.
micropore tape does and lets it breathe at the same time.

thanks for the link,
i wasn't aware of those videos.I will watch them. I did buy the book "Psilocybin - Mushroom Handbook" and read and reread both grow guides from mid west grow kits. So I didn't go into the process completely cold ... I was nervous about the oven method, what do you guess think of the oven method?
I think my biggest mistake was putting to much spores into each jar. I think I have about 5-6 jars out of the 12 jars I started with that are looking good... hopefully...
Does contamination show itself at anytime or would it make itself apparent by two weeks?
