This was a while ago, my memory is pretty hazy.

I remember it starting off kinda slow after the stem emerged, twas probably putting more energy into root formation at that point.

But that's why I think leaf cuttings are a better way to go, the root system can be booming before they get even a few inches tall.

I'm just guessing because, again...this was a while back and my short term memory sucks..but I think it was a month or two? before it caught up.

I'm not a super gardener...my soil building skills and use of fertilizers is amature at best.
Someone with more skill and know-how could possibly speed it up ten-fold.

Your experience is exactly the same as the other side-by-side I read.

--------------------
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree.
'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'
