Fan in my SGFC room

I read I shouldn't have a fan in the room where my chamber is. However, it is my room, and it gets pretty hot at night. Would it cause too much of a unnatural draft if I had a fan pointed at my bed, away from where the SGFC is?
I just birthed these bad boys and I want to make sure it goes smoothly. Going to mist/fan one more time before bed and have some no light time for em.
Any advice?

Mist them really well before going to sleep and don't fan them at night when you have the fan on.

Thank you Allen(:
Zuto hahahah you're going through the same shit hahhahha. Im going to bed so hopefully someone will answer tonight, more than what Allen supplied, and help you out!! I will be misting again before bed, I have misted twice already until they look wet but they just get dry looking again. I also hope my perlite doesn't get too dry, that would be irritating.
Goodnight all! I hope for the best

A ceiling fan will create a more direct air draft than a standing fan pointing to your bed but even if you have a small room a standing fan pointing to your bed will move the air in your room and your cakes will dry. Sounds to me that you both don't own a place and are growing shrooms in your parents house. If you own a house just take it out of your bedroom in a still air room or still air hall.

What more do you want? You have a fan in the same room where you SHFC is. You could tape some holes of you SHFC and in the morning when you wake up untape the holes and shut off your fan.

I ran a fan in my room the whole time I was fruiting in my sgfc. Just make sure you mist when need an don't let them dry out.

A fan isn't good for an SGFC because an SGFC creates its own airflow. The perlite adds humidity to the air around it and that air rises upward to keep the SGFC humid, allowing you to mist less often.
Having a fan in the room will benefit the SGFC however, as long as the cakes don't dry out. So if you can mist often enough, a fan is good because it keeps more fresh air in the SGFC. You do not need humidity in an SGFC, if the cakes are wet, you have 100% humidity microclimate at the surface of the cakes. Dry air is more efficient at evaporating water which helps pinning, but dries out the cake.
The SGFC was designed to be left for several hours without having cakes dry out. A fan negates its effect, but if you are there to mist every couple hours go for it, it would only cause more pins I think. Just don't let em dry out. No blue cakes...
The main purpose of any fruiting chamber is to create airflow, not humidity.

I would listen to the rabbit, he only engineered the SGFC....

Well damn, thank you all for the answers! I slept with the fan on last night, hopefully it didn't cause too much damage. I guess I will figure something out. I actually don't live with my parents Im renting my own place. It just so happens that the only good room is my room so it's where they ended up being lol.
Also thanks for all the quotes, I read it around but I had no idea it was repeated so much by RR haha.
Edit: My SGFC walls still have moisture on the walls from when I sprayed last night, I read that could mean not enough FAE? Also my perlite seems to be dry feeling, I'm sure that's no good as well?? Help please? haha

... I addressed all those things. The link you posted was about someone who had a fan in the room and let the cakes dry out... They won't dry out if you mist, and more FAE won't hurt a grow..
But yea, its best to use a SGFC as designed and not have a fan. Less maintenance anyway. Having a fan makes the perlite pointless, it's effectively fruiting in open air. I've seen plenty of open air grows that do well, they just need lots of misting.

Same principle. Keep up your misting, the fresh air from the window is a good thing...just don't put your sgfc directly in front of it... and probably close it if it's extremely windy... you don't want disruption caused by air currents.

How often should i be misting then you think? I know what to look for, but even though they don't appear to be wet sometimes, I know they are because I just misted them lol.
