what does bacteria look like on agar?

Hey guys! So my recent agar work had me freaking out over nothing. So pretty much there was water condensation on the actual agar, and the way it was I thought it was bacteria.
So how do I tell that there is bacteria on agar? and not mistake it for condensation.

Kinda looks like boogers
The germination plates are the hardest especially if you just drop from a syringe instead of swipe or use a loop and print.
Mold is trickier but usually looks like little colonies that arent where theyre supposed to be, like little white spots just outside your culture
I have a killer picture if I can dig it out a really good example

Bacteria is gross

so is mold.
Anyone have any advice on cleaning up a syringe that produces plates like this every time? Even if I get it down to one drop it makes a circle of green nasty each and every time.
Maybe I could dilute the syringe to get a better chance of a clean germination?
P.S.

What it should look like.

Dunno, you can try making a transfer AS SOON as you see growth. You cant let the mold to get too advanced, or its a lost cause.

That brightly colored blue and green plate has long since been tossed. As you can see with the more recent one, even if I only get 1 tiny drop in a cut out hole I still get the green meanie.

This is that same bacteria laden plate but the pic is from today. I plan on taking the smallest possible transfer I can manage from the rhizo section on the right. I plan on ordering antibiotic agar next week so I can transfer again to be safe. Maybe even sandwich that.
Am I correct in assuming that the bacteria will still be there, riding along the outside of my myc like a homeless drifter on a train? What kind of micro scope would I need to observe this? 40-2000x be enough?
Sorry for hijacking your thread OP but I figured you wouldn't mind the extra info from these more experienced guys

Yeah bacteria can be lurking just under the colony sometimes making it hard to transfer away from. There are a few tricks likr the agar sandwich or warm pour. I really like agar sandwich it helped me clean a lot of cultures.
